ellen is amazing and what surprises me most is that she doesnt have to swear or talk bad about people in a mean way besides the obvious idiotic things we do and makes it feel ok to joke about, heck most of her scenarios are imaginary conversations that end up being funny because of the images we create in our own heads and its brilliant calling everyone an idiot can sound insulting but the way she does it makes it fun because we know certain scenarios can look or sound idiotic when they happen, like the elevator or bathroom scene i really really respect her comedic style ( plus when she makes fun conversations or scenarios with animals its also hilarious because of our perceptions and thoughts we have about them )
she does more elevator jokes in her stand-up act much later on. "here you are your highness. sorry i didn't sprinkle rose petals." anyone know what i'm talking about?

I think so. I think it's when she opens the door for someone and people just walk through without saying thank you and how when you open a door for one person, a whole bunch of people walk through. I think that's what you're referencing.

I loved Ellen's TV show in the 90's i loved it,. But for an animal lover that she says she is, doing jokes back then about gluing things to animals, in order to get a cheap laugh, is stooping pretty low in my books. In fact i found it quite alarming!
