This is why Liszt is a great composer, he's a genius when it comes thing on piano. Take this and Paganini's "La Campanella" for example, he was able to imitate the feeling of the pieces and emotions amazingly.
What an astonishing performance! Beethoven, Liszt, Nasseri, beautiful sounding Bosendorfer and excellent yet quirky camera angles. I feel I'm in heaven.
That is one of the most incredible performances I've ever seen. Such passion in the playing, the dynamics, the crossovers, the presto at the end... A hearty BRAVO to you, Soheil!! Thank you for sharing this video, and thank you for an amazing performance!
0:15-7:50: Allegro Con Brio 2/4 8:00-17:44: Andante Con Moto Ab Major 3/8 18:01-23:03: Scherzo Allegro C minor/C major 3/4 23:04-32:26: Allegro Presto C major 4/4
with much to admire in the brilliance of both the performance and the transcription itself, for me it all comes down to sixteen seconds beginning at 12:20. Sublime.
I feel like I have a good ear. This is certainly my favorite rendition of Beethoven's 5th on RUclips. A lot of other videos are incredibly beautiful and amazingly capable, surely better pianists than myself. But! this video captures the gravitas! the nunace! the delicacy and passion of this gorgeous peace of classical music. If I am looking for Beethoven's 5th on RUclips, I always return here. You are stunningly talented!
micro trades Rachmaninoff had large hands too but Liszt was still more show off. I won’t change my opinion. I despise Liszt more than any other composer and I am tired of seeing people appreciate him more than Bach. He’s not that good in my opinion.
@@CaesarNeptuneStudios Good thing you are a nobody and Liszt isn't. Liszt is basically the father of modern music. Wagner, Debussy, Ravel, Bartok all of this came from Liszt in some way or another. Not to mention that he basically showed the world what the piano can really do, and how from the piano alone all the sounds of the orquestra can be heard.
That 3rd movement for some reason makes me emotional, the 4th movement makes me very happy and filled with joy. I. Going to learn these pieces some day.
Soheil, such personality in your art! I've been following your career for years now and whenever I hear you, I just sit at the edge of my seat and wonder at the force and the purpose you project in your expression. I'm heartsick I had to miss your performance in NY last night at Merkin (8/7/16).
Lieber Herr Soheil Nasseri, verzeihen Sie mir meine Unwissenheit.
FANTASTIC!! Such artistry!! I love hearing you play it is always musical interesting, technically perfect. The shading as you handle the dynamic layers of this brilliant transcription. I've heard all the most celebrated pianists performing today and some like Brendel, -- in terms of perfection and sheer enjoyment listening and watching you up there with the five best. I hope you get the support and brilliant career you deserve.
Great performance!! I've never thought it can be so perfect in the piano form. The first movement is supposed to be rude and scary but the piano sounds too soft.. but i like the 2nd movement in the piano it is almost as good as in the orchestra..
Nice playing, but very distracting having one camera shooting at too slow a shutter speed. I had to shut my eyes every time the edit cut to that view. Yuk!!
I agree. In retrospect I should have overruled the video editor and not used any footage from that perspective. That was the in-house camera set incorrectly. So it is with 'live'- so many things can go wrong. And that's that…. plus I don't think I have the stamina to play the piece again, I'm getting old! ;)
7.5/10 it's a difficult piece to perfect. I'm talking about the first movement. a little bit of articulation issues, but my major take on it is the strict tempo, which should be regarded throughout the entire piece, and this is where its real beauty lies (in my humble opinion). I haven't seen a single pianist until now that was able to accomplish this. So if you were able to, you'd be one of very few people in the world who are capable of doing so. You look good and you're a good pianist as well, I hope that you continue your journey of excellence. sorry I had to add, just watched the beginning of the 2nd movement. You seem to rush into phrases as if you are in a hurry to finish the piece :) if you give the rest its entire time, it would sound more beautiful. ok, I know that I need to shut up. It's just that I see that you're almost there and I can't keep quiet lol
Just as Ludwig Van must have played it. How did Beethoven know when to complete and orchestrate and conduct then move on to next composition? Perfectionists.
Representing all orchestra voices on the piano was nothing less than legendary, it is sublime.
That's it. The piano is a Little orchestra.
This is why Liszt is a great composer, he's a genius when it comes thing on piano. Take this and Paganini's "La Campanella" for example, he was able to imitate the feeling of the pieces and emotions amazingly.

Liszt is a genius
Nah liszt was mostly a show off pianist in my opinion but his arrangements of beethovens symphonys are good
@Asriel Meemurr so true
The Liszt's later works are so underrated
Caesar [SailorNeptune] you clearly never listened to liszt.

I was fascinated this one. Very nice touch of keys :) love ♪
Beethoven would be proud on you, sir!
I've never seen it played more beautifully than the concert in the Royal Albert Hall conducted by the amazing conductor Daniel Barenboim

Roger Simon is a dear friend and I am an associate director in his studio. I just found out that you know each other. Small world!! Bravo.
This deserves way more attention. Amazing job. I could only dream on playing 1/2 this well. Bravo!!! Bravo!!
Absolutely wonderful! Very glad I found this performance! It's so lively and intense that I get all jumpy and energetic just by listening.

Belíssimo
THE VIDEO PART IS POOR BUT THE PLAYING OF THE MUSIC IS ON A LEVEL FEW REACH!
Отлично, super.
cool du machst das echt gut😀😀😀😀😀😀😀
Lovely playing. Two of the three camera angles are bad, however. The filming should enhance the music, not distract from it.
27:34
zu unrecht selten gespieltes Werk ! Bravo!
Bravo tekiu
Very good rendition. Do you have any performance of other Beethoven/Liszt Symphony coming? I'm looking forward to them.
