Kudos! To me, when comparing Bluetooth speakers, you want to hear the music comparison, not all the specifics of technical jargon…. You can look that up later…. I have to agree, your videos are absolutely spot-on Danny. Keep up the stellar work… rare to see this kind of dedication and simplicity! Blessings… Mark
Have both speakers. They sounds amazing. BUT if i was Forced to choose i keep Stockwell 2. Bigger sound more bas and filling à Room better then Emberton 2.
Stockwell sounds like it needs more power. Something makes it also seem more natural but less dynamic in the upper mids. I like the low smoothness but something about it the sound seems missing. Agree with your comparison of it's good points I just wonder if its form factor, power or some component is holding it back. Wish we could have the best of both but I feel Emberton II would have the edge especially outdoors.
Already have an emberton, and now I want a stockwell purely because it looks amazing, both looks so amazing... Kinda feel like i want to collect them all not only because they sound brilliant 😅 but also because they all look so good 👏
after a while i have started to like even more the stockwell 2, it has something unique maybe how the speakers are set or something else but it has a unique experience for my ears, if you listen to jazz or some mellow music it really makes you smile, and i have even tried all of the most expensive sets, Vifa Oslo, Denon, all of Marshalls familly and even Bi O, and i can say this speaker has something unique, , great video and thanks again amigo.
It really is unique. The soundstage on certain tracks are so immersive and has very nice bass boost for lower volume listening. IMO the best low volume speaker out there. Definitely smoother sounding than the emberton. The only thing about the stockwell 2 is that it can sound a bit strange on certain tracks with reverb. Lovely speaker though
What an amazing production quality man, thank you for this video and your take on both of these amazing speakers. I have been researching a lot regarding these two speakers and your video made me finally fix on my decision to buy the Stockwell 2. Thanks once again, you deserve much more subs!
I've had the Stockwell 2 for years. It's a great choice if you like a natural HiFi sound rather than 'impressively' loud ear torture. It's a little rolled off on high treble (they all are), but that's far better than faking it by boosting high mid, plus you have the option to do that with the tone controls. Very pleased with it. It's loud enough for a BBQ party, as long as you don't intend to deliberately annoy your neighbours.
@@sahilbudhiraja9893 It would work fine, but something bigger with a stronger mid range would probably be better for a TV. Ideally a Harman Kardon Go + Play mini.
While I was on my trip in malaysia, I got myself an emberton. I bought it back to my country started using it, it was workng pretty well and 3 days later it just stops working outta nowhere. The bluetooth, conection, powering up everything works but not a single sound is coming off of it. Even the booting up sound isnt working. Its been like this the past 3 months. What do I do?
The fact you got it from Malaysia says it all ! So, so many counterfeit brands in both Malaysia and Singapore it's unreal. I know, it's my second home 😂
I just bought the Emberton but was immediately hit with a “tunnel” sound. Tried a few different songs, same thing. Once I picked up the Emberton from the counter it was exceptionally better sound. I think the sound is reflecting off of the surfaces it is sitting on. Have you noticed this? I am wishing now it had small feet to raise it up.
Returned mine after a week. The 360 degree sound is a neat trick but the sound lacked image and body as its like a dual mono not stereo. Main reason for return was it was always turning itself off after just 10 minutes of no use even when kept plugged into the mains power. Useless and annoying for in home use. Got a Sony which is far more suitable, the Sony app lets you disable the auto off, and it also has an EQ.
Can they connect each other? I mean Emberton 2 and Stockwell 2. Please kindly answer me, cuz sooner or later, i will buy Emberton 2 as i have stockwell.
Great videos Danny 😀, what about testing the Bose flex vs the B&O p2 ? It’s like Bose designed the flex after the p2 . Just a food for thought. Keep it up Danny
I got the SW2 and love the sound and great bass from the woofer...however i need to send it to marshall for warranty because of charging issues...best of all amazon refunded me fully for it...and Marshall offered to fix it for no charge...bonus!!! It sounds better than my soundcore motion +...No not nearly as loud...but as for sound stage and separation..marshall wins hands down. and the analogue buttons are so much better imo, no fiddling with your phone to eq the sound...just turn the bass or treble buttons...so pleasantly simple and fast... i will be getting the emberton 2 soon also....Its the amazingly cool look of these speakers that grabbed me as well as for most other people im sure!!! they are the best looking speakers available anywhere!!! love em!!!! Plus its Marshall....as a lifelong drummer im very familiar with the marshall look and sound...so...no hesitation to buy them! thanks for the vids!!!
I love the analog as well, and that you dont hear the marshals power down sound when switching off like the emberton. im just finding there is no skip feature , to fwd a song from the Stockwell ;/
I just don’t get quite the idea of you showing the SW2 in Black and Brass vs Emberton comparison but when in the sound test you are using the black SW2 vs the cream Emberton, though am sure the sound quality of the SW2 Black and Brass vs the Black is pretty much the same. But why???
Today I auditioned marshal Stockwell 2 and emberton.I m an little bit audiophile person and don’t like any of it because all the companies making small speakers not for quality sounding but only for high bass and to achieve high sale target.Very disappointed with most of the brands.hopefully one day a company will come forward to make a small speaker with fine and detail sound quality with natural vocal and music instead of only high bass.
Hello… I’ve got my Emberton today but I’m facing a weird issue. There’s next to no sound when the volume is at around 20-25%. It starts to pick up from there & is fairly low till 50%. After that it gets great & sounds amazing. Is that a defect - speaker with almost no sound at 20% & fairly low sound at 40-45% volume? If it is then I’ll get it replaced.
It doesn't sounds like an issue as much as it is the way these speakers tend to be on their volume curve. There should be some volume at 20% but not much at all.
I had same problem... Around 20% there is almost no sound at all, then from 50-60% almost double loundnes with every 5% .... And at max volume is not realy loud, its ok for indoor use, but its not so great for use outside.... Which is shame, sound quality is superb, best for jazz and rock music.
Be aware if it’s like the one I got it will go into battery saving mode and turn itself off after just 10 minutes of nothing playing. It’s very annoying. I found myself having to power it back on a dozen times a night. I returned it and got a Sony. The Sony app lets you turn off its auto off feature.
How much stereo effect do you get with 10 cm between the two speakers? It's a stereo triangle with 10 cm sides, so your nose might get some stereo effect when you put the Emberton in front of your eyes...
@@sushobhitsingh2420 right well there's only so much bass the emberton can handle physically due to size. If bass is important to you going up in size is the only way to help. The bose flex I would say has a slight edge on bass.

Thanks for this. I was about to buy the Stockwell. I'll follow your link when I purchase the Emberton, most likely.

they can't, the emberton II has newer technology that can't do that "stacking" mode with older marshall speakers.
I been watching a few videos these last hour, and I am in love with your music choice.
Your videos are great!
Hi Danny - Do you have a list or video about the best longevity? Audio quality not changing or dead batteries after years of use.
