The bouncing ball base sounds like a good approach. I just drew a dancing animation and did similar things as you did with the poses, but that bouncing ball as reference would have saved me some time with the proportions of the characters.

I animate everything to a rhythm. It's only very short anims for a game. Walk, run, kick, but all of that I do on a rhythm :)
    Cheers

Is there a key command or smth you use to flip between key frames like that, I've never seen that before.

Animation software always feels overwhelming is there any good user friendly programs out there?

Personally I am using Sketchbook Pro's animation tool, Flipbook. It's extremely simple and user friendly. However it's also very limited. Only three layers, no options for audio track, etc... it's nice if you just want to try doing simple animations with no fancy editing.
A Sketchbook Pro perpetual license is only 20$, so it's cheap too.
I tried using Krita. While it has a lot of functionality I definitely got overwhelmed, and I was already used to Sketchbook Pro. Someday I might try learning it again for more complex animations. It's free though, and there are lots of tutorials out there for it. It also gets lots of updates, unlike Sketchbook Pro, which almost feels abandoned.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” - John 3:16 God bless everyone here. Jesus loves you and died for you on the cross. He did this to wash away the burden of sins, and if you open your heart to Him, He can take away the burden of your sins and give you a peace incomparable to anything in this world. ✝✝🙏
