Nice work! I have three electric Ramseys of that style on my trucks and a PTO 12,000 (only difference beside drive appears to be internal gear reduction among all of them) waiting on me to install it. That particular style Ramsey has been used on tow trucks and rollbacks for decades and they are tough, reliable and very easy to work on.
Die from a direct drive winch? Why is it more dangerous than any other? Almost all old wreckers have chain drive from the pto driving the winch. Nice work
If the Cable snaps under tension --- if anyone is sitting on the tractor -- then they could be severely injured! Local man pulling logs with pickup and cable snapped and it came through rear window ---- and phhhhhhttt! Gone!
There was a hydraulic block on the right side of the tractor, in the supply line to the three point cylinder. Check out orangetractortalks.com. They have a lot of good information on their youtube channel as well.

That particular style Ramsey has been used on tow trucks and rollbacks for decades and they are tough, reliable and very easy to work on.
I've seen people make a slip clutch using wood for the friction surface. And a lever with a rope to engage the clutch and PTO hookup.

Have you had a need for reverse yet ? I’m building one and I’m second guessing my self about fixing it where I can put it in reverse.

Yep, things can be dangerous.
This typ of winch is dangeros because if your log got stucked an if you dont stop winch in ridht time yuo can't get hurted
