I just love your step by step tutorials. Your pace, calm voice, specificity, explanation as to why these techniques work and alternatives for different eye shapes is bar none the best on RUclips. Also love the music when you model different poses of the finished look in the beginning of the video. It lures me in and makes me want to see how you achieve the sultry look. I have that Becca color corrector. I need to work with it more. It is a bit shimmery so have not been using and have been liking Just Peachy by Nikol. But I don’t want to waste the Becca and will try your tips to see if I can make it work. Also value the trick on how to gently stretch the eyelid with the base of your finger as you use the tip to apply product. Encouraged there is another level of potential with all your techniques.

Just found your channel. So glad I did! I didn’t wear makeup for so many years and started wearing it when I was 45 or so. I started watching you tube videos and have learned lots of helpful techniques but the videos I usually watch are from young women that are in their 20’and 30’s. I am approaching 58 and although I don’t look my age ( I stay out of the sun and use good skincare products) I am realizing that I need to watch makeup videos for more mature women. I’ve only seen a handful of your videos but so far I appreciate your thorough instruction. I don’t know your age, but you look fantastic! Your makeup looks fabulous- you look like a supermodel. I especially like the way you apply your eye makeup. I also have brown eyes and get so bored with my eyeshadow so you have inspired me to try some different looks that I didn’t think I could pull off at my age. Also your lips are very pretty. I don’t think I have the patience to do all the contouring, but may give it a try! Thank you for sharing your beautiful look. You have inspired me!

Soooooo friggin Beautiful! As soon as you said sum'in sump'in, I knew you were going to break out the jewels! I was so excited to see them come back in style, and was so amped to wear them to my family's turkey day, yet spent too much time applying and reapplying eyeshadow, I was in too much of a rush to get out the door and completely forgot to put the crystals on lol

omgosh. the tiny dab of that hot pink on the eyelid, gorgeous! Finally, some great ideas on how I can use the hot pinks I have in some of my palettes! I have crystals too! I have TrueSkin in my foundation collection and like it. I use the L'Oreal True Match concealer too. Love the Dolce & Dolce and your top (I wear these colors now too). I also like your manicure (hard to find oranges, I have noticed). Love the overall look and how you lifted your eyes with those shadows.

Jill, I love the black background when you are applying makeup and for wig chats featuring lighter wig colors, like Shaded Biscuit. However, I felt the contrast was too low to see the recent Shaded Cappaccino wig well. I think a lighter background would help to improve the contrast and better showcase the darker wigs.

Very nice. You are one of the few people that like a dry lip pencil as do I ! A really good one to try is by Paladio. I buy them at Sally's Beauty stores, but Ulta may carry that brand too. Only about $5 or $6.

Lovely informative video. You are such a humble soul, it is a pleasure to watch you. Please can you tell me how you sharpen your lip pencils. I have tried every style, size of sharpener and that all break my pencils, even my CT ones 😢
I recommend a sharpener made by and for the same manufacturer of the pencil. If they don't have one, use one used specifically for lip and eye pencils and don't over sharpen. ;)

Jill, May I say Stunning and I love the way you got the entire look from the eyeshadow palette. I love the way you place the contour to make your cheeks look youthful and rounded, but lifted. I was always naturally blonde starting out very pale ad a child and darkening to medium blonde as I got older so I had it hilighted for years. I didn't even know what my natural color was anymore, except that the front not quite to the crown was turning kind of not gray or silver, but like the wig in butterbeer blonde, so I decided to let my hair color grow out. Well that front is that butterbeer & the remainder is the color of the wig you are wearing in this tutorial. My hair is quite long & I really think I am liking it. I have a question. Is there a special way you have to do up your hair if you have long hair & want to wear a wig. I don't want to cut my hair, but would like to change the style & color on occasion. Thanks for any advice!
Hi there! If you are wearing a medium length to longer style than what I would do when my hair was quite long (mind you my hair is also VERY VERY thin).. I would put it into a very low ponytail and clip it up along my head. If you have thicker hair you can do 2 low ponytails (behind the ears) and then clip them going toward each other (like a long/vertical flat bun at the nape area) both of these will create a "wedge" of which you can tuck your wig under to prevent them from rising up through the day as well as eliminating unnecessary bulk. When you clip ...make sure it is as flat as you can get it. (your hair). It's really hard to explain in words. :/

WOWZA!! You are truly a makeup artist. You photos are beautiful. But I think for my age this is too much, even for evening. I remember as a kid laughing as some of the older women who I thought that they pretended to look young and they were not. However I love your techniques, but for me more subdued.
Hi Leona! I think blending to make the whole look very soft is the KEY to makeup, but essential as we get older. Certainly color choices are individual, and how saturated one wishes to go is too. I have never put foundation on my neck. I feel like I would get it all over my clothes.
I'm a hair stylist and I've been doing makeup for years. But my eyes have gotten so heavy and so crazy it's 63 I don't know what to do with them. The skin now hangs over my eyelashes. And doing these looks are great but I don't know how to do them on my eyes

Hi Mina! Plastic? I'm not sure what you mean? This one is synthetic, and I don't think it's unrealistically shiny at all. They are heat-friendly fibers....so (to me) they are my preferred kind of fiber for realism. ;) As for shipping to Australia....you would have to reach out and make sure they ship to you.

What wig are you wearing in this video?
I bought the catrice foundation. it is beautiful finish but it settles in my fine lines and wrinkles. I didnt like that
I would try applying less maybe?...using a light primer may help too. I also hate when that happens! OH one more thing you may try if any foundation tends to do that to you is try applying it with a damp ( by damp I mean squeeze the water out of it, and then wrap it in a towel, and squeeze again) beauty blender/sponge and apply your foundation with that.
