@@NitpickingNerds Even worse. I agree it's a good card. It also costs over $20. I'd rather spend 35c on Rogue's Passage than $20 on Field. And considering that my deck doesn't contain any non-basic-land tutors (like Sylvan Scrying or Expedition Map), I might not even see the Field in most games.

Pile shuffling is actually how I shuffle before I mash shuffle, I do it quick and make random piles of different amounts. No one has ever been mad at me for it lol

If my Mono Blue deck didn't only run a handful of utility lands because of spells that care about how many islands I have and blue pips being a limiting factor on how many spells I can play in a turn - and if I wasn't a poor - then I would run Field of the Dead.

Not sure what breezy was referencing with faces appearing over things at ~25 minutes but I just imagined the scene in Billy Madison where Billy calls steve buscemi’s character and apologizes so he takes out some lipstick I think and crosses his name off of his people to kill list.

Boros charm protects my buddy's Koll combo from losing almost every time he plays it lol. Granted, we have a child of alara deck at our table, so maybe that's more "exception not the rule'

imo when you're playing a treasure deck, i dont mind only being neutral on mana with reaver cleaver. if im in a treasure theme deck, i want treasures. so if the reaver cleaver can essentially say "spend 6 mana, make 6 treasures" and now i can execute my gameplan because i have treasures...seems good to me. i have it in prosper and ziatora and have never been sad when drawing it
By the logic of one mana for one treasure, what do you think about bootleggers stash? I personally love the card

As a parent, I will defend minor cell phone usage during the game. I will check my phone, maybe send a text if I have to. There's a life beyond the game, but I will do my best to make this the least impact to the game that I can. If I had to take a phone call, I would scoop and do that and save you the trouble.
Jesus Christ, this is amazing.
If you build the 'right kind of combo deck' you can easily have infinite whatever and not notice... My Tatyova deck does this all the time (it has too many combos for a person to memorize, I kid you not), and it will continue to do so no matter how much time I invest in trying to figure out it's myriad combo trees, it has too many interacting pieces. That said, you for sure should have a pretty good grasp of what your cards/deck do, so that you don't waste everyone's time, but unless you've played your deck into the ground you're going to find new stuff out about it.
I am weirdly confident that Secret Lair: Feet would sell incredibly well.
The real issue in Commander vs 52 card decks is that 52 card games usually involve more than 1 player getting cards from the same deck, this dodged most of the randomization needs. I think mana weaving is normal assuming you do a proper shuffle after (making it mostly irrelevant), but I've come to accept that you can't effectively randomize a Commander deck (it's too much shuffling and the cards are too hard to shuffle, and mashing two rough piles together over and over is not truly random) and just should make a show of shuffling about as much as everyone else does, and make sure people cut decks. Also no shuffling other people's cards, this is a hard and fast rule, it's really easy to just dump all the lands into a pile and make it impossible to do anything.
In the end everyone but Maldhound missed the mark, Commander isn't about having the best decks/knowing what your cards do, it's about having fun. Play fun cards people! Throw in a couple terrible cards that you've loved your whole life, just use them! Commander is about playing 4 mana Rocks that can be blown up by a Viashino Heretic for value, not playing Sol Rings, this isn't Vintage!

Oh my God that's what pile shuffling is.... I've seen people do this. In the back of my head I think this is very stupid, based on all the schooling I had in Statistics.... honestly I felt like if you were going to cheat this is the way you would do it. And that's what I think about people who are doing it.

Field of the Dead isn’t bad, it’s a minimum $19 opportunity cost and I’ve never had a deck I couldn’t improve more than that for $19. If I owned a pile of them already or were freely proxying? Yeah I’d run it a lot.
I’m sorry Mia but pile shuffling is better. It actively randomizes the deck. You don’t have to pile shuffle before every mulligan or even before every game. But if your lands are clumped, a good pile shuffle will unclump them. People can argue against me on this but you can’t be the real-life results. Maybe my fat fingers are just bad at shuffling. It’s not like I never shuffle normally. I just need to pile shuffle every once in a while. And my friends and I trust each other enough not to cheat.

The reason I like 1 vs 1 it's me vs you, no political crap. I'm used to play arena and thing must go fast. Once a guy told me...''if you do that I will kill you next turn'' and I did what I wanted and he killed me next turn. I'm playing magic to kill others players not to be friend ;)
