A bit of an insight about that stretch of beach you went to “Bai Dai”. It must be out of season when you went because the tide is normally miles out so it is not the wrong beach. The locals don’t come down until after 4:30pm and mostly on Sunday. All the huts you see are restaurants serving fresh seafoods. You can also bring you own foods but they will charge a small fees. It caters for the Vietnamese tourists although during high season, you will get loads of Russians and now Koreans. The prices are very reasonable, the seafoods are alive, free range chickens, everything. They also bring you a small barbecue for you to cook your own foods or their foods. My advice is ask the local when the best time to go..

Blogging with everything in full focus from subject to background always feels unnatural (and unnatural stabilized) This beach! I love it, unfortunately I’ve skipped this place. @@alexandwhite don't go there.. the river is very brown and muddy. To me, the Mekong Delta is the ugliest and most boring areas in Vietnam. THere are far better areas/regions than this place. I love other parts of Vietnam but did not like the Mekong Delta at all.
