I love this series a lot so far. Love to see dustin's friend reactions and it is very funny and hilarious when dustin always emphasises his friend being a professional chef and still single😂😂
I agree on the comment about having your friends trying weird dishes. I think the audience would prefer them to try traditional Vietnamese food.
It is okay if he lets them try one or two exotic dishes. However, it seems like he'd gone a bit too far with letting his friends try those dishes on a regular basis. I find it irritating watching his friends not enjoying the food and ended up with stomachaches. It is no longer funny when foreigners, especially those who are not accustomed to asian tastes, start to turn away from Vietnamese food and have a totally different perspective since what they've been introduced are uncommon entrees. The way he showed them eat our foods was not even right, no where like Max McFarlin. His friends deserve much better experiences with our food.

Hi Dustin. Cool adventure with your friends visiting. Street vendors can be fun and all but perhaps taking them so some nice sit down places to eat with high quality of food. Also perhaps incorporating some fun activities like a mud bath, paragliding, cool events in the evening in NHA Trang. Your friends may enjoy them.

He was more interested in making content that features shock value than having his friends enjoying good Vietnamese foods. If he really cared, he would have researched the best places for banh xeo in Nha Trang and taken them there. I am genuinely disappointed in Dustin. He is more interested in views than showing them the Vietnam and the foods that he loves.

You can tell Dustin's friends love him bc they put up with him by trying all of the dishes that 90% of Vietnamese don't even eat on a reg basis. I'm Vietnamese and I've never eaten fish eyeballs or geoduck or tasting fermented shrimp paste by itself 😂

Why don't you have your friends try the popular, easy to eat stuff for beginners since they're not foodies and not particularly adventurous. Although their strong reactions are entertaining but some of the things you have them eat is just mean and probably turn them off to Vietnamese food for good.

Dustin, your Vietnamese audience would really really enjoy seeing your friends enjoying the delicious foods that most Vietnamese people eat like pho, banh xeo, banh mi, bun bo hue, bun cha, com tam, bun rieu, cha gio, etc., instead of weird foods that most Vietnamese people don't eat, or don't eat on a regular basis. We are getting tired of RUclipsrs featuring our atypical foods for shock value and presenting them as the type of foods that we eat regularly. I am Vietnamese, and I've never had fertilized duck eggs, and I've never seen my parents eating them either. I've never had eye-ball soup, and I've never seen my parents eating them either. I've never had mam tom, and I don't see them in my parents' fridge either. (There is nothing wrong with shrimp paste, but we're getting tired of seeing people vilifying it, the same way they do with fertilized duck eggs and the like, foods that we don't consume on a regular basis.) We love you, but do you think you are exploiting our culture a little bit? Something to think about. How many days have your friends been in Vietnam? We have not seen them enjoying a good bowl of pho, some banh mi, banh xeo, or other delicious foods that Vietnam is really known for. I only watched part of the video and stopped after seeing your friend saying he was not going to throw up (meaning the food was disgusting, but he was going to be polite). Truth be told, we are tired of seeing our culture presented that way. Whether you realize it or not, you are exploiting our culture to some degree. I am a teacher, and I help my students to recognize these subtleties when it comes to culture and race.
P.S. I once saw a video of BTS trying unusual British foods. They didn't say anything disrespectful but made some faces. A sea of English people began to attack them, calling them all sorts of racist names, saying how they couldn't believe these Asian boys had the audacity to disrespect their foods. Why do you think Vietnamese people would enjoy seeing others putting down their foods on a regular basis?

Last time he pushed his parents ate balut and durians as well. I felt so bad for them. I don't know how to say, really disappointed about his way to show family and friends about Vietnamese food. @@LinhTran-uw7dk Your English is wonderful, Linh. Every culture has its own delicacies but are not everyday foods that people consume. Unfortunately, Dustin has presented these unusual delicacies as a representation of Vietnamese main cuisine just for ratings and views. I have never seen my parents, aunts, uncles, cousins eating any of the "weird" foods Dustin features in his videos like balut, eye-ball soup, mam tom, coagulated blood, etc. that Dustin regularly features in his videos.
No need to write a whole essay here. Guys are having fun, or not, let them be. It's not a documentary on national TV. I don't see my "culture exploited" in any ways. Open your mind. Or move to China. Chill.

Dustin's friends maybe feel a little shock with Vietnamese cuisine. I hate eating mắm tôm though i am a Vietnamese. You should introduce some of popular dishes for them more. i feel them very worrying when they eat.

- Bánh xèo: You can try it at 51 Ton That Tung st, near Petrol station
- Bún đậu: I usually get it at Chang Chang on Bà Triệu street
- Seafood: Ốc Nhưng, right place in your previous video with your parents but you can try at Lang Chai restaurant near by in area same
- Cơm Tấm 82 Trịnh Phong st, or Cơm tấm Sơn at 9 Phạm Hồng Thái st,…
- Bún Riêu (made by crabmeat): at 90 Bắc Sơn
- Bún Bò (beef noodles): a alley between 268 & 270 Thống Nhất st, open in the evening

mấy món này mình cũng chưa từng ăn bao giờ , có lẽ nó cũng khá kén người địa phương khác ăn newn có lẽ nó cũng chưa đc phổ biến lắm , bánh bèo như này thì dạng bánh bèo Huế nhưng hơi chế biến theo kiểu Nha Trang , bánh bèo ở quê tôi Q Ngãi nó có thêm "nhưng sệt" , đậu phộng , hành phi , lá hẹ nữa
Tôi đã đi 63/63 tỉnh thành nhưng ở khu vực Nam Trung Bộ ẩm thực Nha Trang (nếu không tính hải sản) tôi không thấy không mấy đặc sắc so với Bình Định hay Bình Thuận.

Người nước ngoài họ ăn kỹ quá. Ko ăn nhiều loại thức ăn khác nhau nên khi qua VN hoặc 1 số nước khác mà có thực phẩm đa dạng thì sẽ chưa thích nghi đc , nên dễ bị tiêu chảy hoặc dị ứng. Thử ở VN 2 tháng trở lên đi. Thì cái món gì cũng có thể cho vào bụng đc hết. ...

He would have taken them to the best places to eat and have them eat the best foods (instead of weird foods). I am genuinely disappointed in Dustin. He is more interested in views than showing his friends a good time and the Vietnam (and its foods) that he loves.
If youve watched him for awhile, youd know hes all about showing the random and rawness of his life, not the scripted crowd pleasers. Im sure he'll have his friends eat actual good food during their time there where they can have actual conversations and not be filmed. Besides, its not weird food, its what the locals eat and he doesnt go out of the way to make it known that its crazy weird.

Dustin already showed his parents other good/famous/more representing dishes. If any wants to have safe foods, esp for people who are old or not so adventurous, I found those videos are perfect.
This time he wanted to show his friends more exotic foods, right on the street, nothing wrong w that, they are parts of VN culinary as well. And for the banh xeo, he was just more familiar w Saigon or Mien Tay styles, so he did not give higher grade for Nha Trang banh xeo, totally explanable.
Dustin already made many disclaimers about his "inappropriate" childhood friendship w the guys, so I do enjoyed his food choices to have his friends try. More on the humour side to me than to PR Vietnam food, really interesting and entertaining to watch.
@@daisyisblue Humor should not be achieved at the expense of another's culture. Dustin is a representative of Vietnam and its culture, and this comes with responsibility. I also find the humor somewhat juvenile. Dustin is no longer a teenager or in his twenties. Claiming he has an "inappropriate" friendship with his friends does not give Dustin a free pass to endlessly make fun of Vietnamese food. Plus, we care about those friends. We want them to enjoy Vietnam and eat amazing food, not food that constantly makes them gag or feel like throwing up. As a spokesperson for the Vietnamese culture, Dustin needs our honest feedback. We all care about him and want his channel to be successful. That's why we tell him what we feel. I am glad you don't find any of this offensive, but others do.

sau khi ăn món ăn lạ, hãy cho họ uống 1 ly trà gừng ấm (loại tinh bột trà bán 10K/1 hộp tại hiệu thuốc - KHÔNG phải là trà xanh có vị gừng - Gọi là trà gừng nhg thực tế là tinh bột gừng)
Trà gừng này sẽ khiến họ "ấm" bụng, thải độc nếu họ bị tiêu chảy do không quen đồ ăn và phần nào ngăn ngừa đau bụng cho mấy người bụng dạ yếu chưa quen đồ ăn lạ.
Và nếu tiêu chảy, đừng uống "béc-bơ-rin" để dừng tiêu chảy (dù nó là loại thuốc rất tốt ở VN) - vì họ cần phải "đi hết" những gì có trong bụng, thải nốt độc tố ra ngoài thay vì lưu giữ nó trong hệ tiêu hóa.
(Thao tác gồm cả móc họng để có thể nôn ra + đại tiện để thải ra hết)
Chú ý là uống thêm điện giải nếu bị tiêu chảy để cân bằng điện giải của cơ thể.
Tin tôi đi, vì tôi là đứa rất hay bị ngộ độc thực phẩm và em tôi mới đi viện (bác sĩ nó may là không uống bec-bơ-rin cầm tiêu chảy, mà cần phải "đi hết" lượng thức ăn còn trong hệ tiêu hóa.
