Emma is an amazing woman. She was someone who had a lot placed on her and did her best, much like we are currently doing in 2020. Her appointments by God were divine and what she needed to learn while here in her time. Thanks for putting some of this in context.

I think The Lord had set Emma to be a precedent for the establishment of the relief Society. A remarkable plan by The Lord to equalise the roles of Men and Women in His Church.

Thank you for making this video! I do think it’s possible that Emma was pushed back out of the way by other humans in regards to being a scribe. We don’t have evidence one way or the other as to what happened when she was once again available, and yet was not the scribe, and then the ensuing change in the revelation.
What we do have evidence of is that God sees us. He knows us, each of us, individually.
As far as Him saying she should murmur not, we could recall that Jesus cited a scripture to Satan that the Lord told His children not to tempt their Lord... and yet Jesus WAS tempted.
As you said, we know Jesus didn’t give in, and yet He was under the admonition of the same scripture.
I’m not comparing Emma to Jesus, but the fact that Jesus was told the same thing as everyone else in the scriptures, and He was also to obey the same.
I hope that makes sense. I’m echoing your thought that we can be told not to do something that we aren’t doing, as a good reminder not to start doing it... and it doesn’t mean we have already begun to do it.
It’s like when my children may have a disagreement and I remind them to speak kindly to one another, even when they are currently doing so. It’s to make sure they remember to do it, even if the disagreement is one which *could* become contentious if they let it.
I do love how the Lord “sees” women, and even maybe tested the men around them by showing himself to them first, having them announce His ministry, be in charge of things in times when women were just not, as a rule.
He tells us in the scriptures that we are all His children and He is no respecter of persons. I think sometimes He wants to see if we truly understand what that means, and how to put it into practice.
    Thank you again!
