Thank you so very much for these discussions. I absolutely love them as I learn so much, and I also hear and feel affirmations of what I've been inspired with in my own studies. Your discussions are absolutely beautiful -- I listen to them over and over.
I was just watching the discussions on the BOM and Keith was in that too. So glad BYU, a private university, is willing to post this and make content available. Many public universities don't, and they are public. Good on you guys. Makes me wish I'd attended BYU.
Question about doctrine regarding the story of the mother who died rather than abort. If a fetus is aborted (naturally or medically), does that mean that spirit will never have another chance to come to earth? That was the one chance? I was at a fireside where a couple spoke about being told they should abort for medical reasons but chose not to. The fetus miscarried later. When she got pregnant again some time later, they both felt strongly that this was the same spirit allowed to come to them again and the child had a healthy birth. So if that's the case, couldn't this mother have aborted the fetus, lived to take care of her 6 other children, and that spirit would have another chance to come to earth?
Love this! Thank you for your work.
