Pack a little wrench, use it on one of the cover bolts in the tighten direction and easy peezy you can rotate the secondary far more easily. To hear a grown man grunting and getting out of breath changing the belt in a warm shop tells me teens, most women and many dudes just don't have the strength to do it without some help. Try the little wrench trick and it's twice as easy.
I changed the engine because of a spun bearing inside the engine. Was easier changing the engine verses rebuilding. You can use parking brake yes if it works lol

Why are you going to tear down the engine? And what comes to that belt change, you can use parking brake.
