3:12 this breakdown is one of the best parts of the song, but Metallica never plays it in their live shows. Pisses me off.

Jamie it’s probably bc it’s hard to play. Personally, I’ve been playing guitar for about 3.5 years now, and I find that rhythm pattern of the open E to the accents on the A to be a bit tricky. But then again, I am not very good at guitar😂

@@armandotorres8885 it's not hard to play, I mean that in as little of a cocky tone as possible, it's mainly right arm speed so if you can play songs like blackened or creeping death, it's pretty east
Malcolm Kyeremeh Ik. I have the speed, but the timing is weird imo. I get confused from the gallops and accents and all that is all😂
@@armandotorres8885 oh I see wym. Not sure if this is what you mean but I did struggle a lot with the 2 16th note 7th fret A string notes that come right after the 2 palm muted Es, I just couldn't get the second one and get back to E string but I've got it down pretty easy now

This video sucks. Why does it suck? It sucks for me because as a former drummer thinking about one day getting back into it, after seeing videos like this I realize even after drumming for many years I never came close to being this good and frankly I don't think I could ever. Both of these guys must spend hours practicing every day or did for a very long time because they are both shredders. Awesome. Hats off to the Met boyz also for writing this music. Awesome!!!!

Really loving the collaborations. You guys are both great. I've been watching you for a long time to help figure out guitar parts but I just recently found Josh's channel as I'm starting to learn drums now.
This brings back many memories from back in the day when I had this drummer friend and we would jam all Sunday long playing covers.

+Jordan Kay I saw them play this live and James opened with that riff, but then played the E, Bb chords to sing. I figured James would have recorded that riff in the studio. It's classic Hetfield
Oh. Then i must have seen a different one. The live video i saw was the one at quebec in 2008. It was definitely kirk on that one because james didn't even have a hand on his guitarXD but again, great job.
And he did record it in the studio;)

killer!! I messed around recording the intro with my boss gt6 a few years ago and used a wah as a filter and was able to get those "squaks" after the pull offs.. nice job!!
Huh I always thought it was just a bunch of triplets on the E string going to the high octave E on the A string. Sounds more like it the way you do it, your videos are always teaching me how to play Metallica.
