@@debbiereyes1688 Yes I have since I have a hard time raising my keto levels. My ketones did go up but its not something you can keep up. I learned about this challenge from Dr.Boz.
I cut out sodas, alcohol, dairy, grain/gluten, night-shade-causing foods (tomatoes/peppers/Eggplant), and instead consumed primarily red meat, salmon and chicken. I also consumed at times riced cauliflower, and a small portion of green apple. Then, once I got back to pre-diabetic stage, via Dr. Ken Berry and Anthony Chaffee's research on carnivore, I've fluctuated between Carnivore (Red Meat, Salt, Butter, and water), and Ketovore (Avocados, Coffee, Teas, Wild Salmon, Eggs, Turkey & Beef Bacon. I no longer struggle with either of these stages of the condition. My BS went from 364 down to 100, and my A1C went from 11.3 down to 7 and then further to around 6. Still to this day, I may splurge a little from time to time, but mostly, I stick between carnivore and Ketovore. The information in this video and from the Saturated Vs. Unsaturated fats...further confirms my experience and the research and expertise of the two Dr.s mentioned above. So many benefits and a life-changing reversal in which I did NOT use any pharmaceuticals. I took charge and told my physicians, "No!". My journey began with Dr. Melvin Mashner of the Gut Authority in Daphne, AL in 2019, a Chiropractor who practiced Naturopathology on the side. Brilliant man, as well as is his wife who helped me with the nutrition response side of things. Overall, if you can, battle it the natural way.
I completely changed my diet after my heart attack and found out I was pre diabetic. I've been eating these exact foods and I'm already down 25 pounds! I was never obese, but I was overweight
I definitely changed my diet! The standard diet that a "normal" person eats will shorten most of their lives. These foods and techniques that you listed in this video are basically how I got myself back on the road to good health. Several times I tried going back to a normal American diet and the results were disastrous. Changing your eating lifestyle results in good health in all aspects. Your videos are always entertaining and helpful. I look forward to each new release! Keep it up, Kait!
Keto diet put my diabetes into remission, now I eat a low carb keto diet but my carbs are mainly Green plantains chips, bulgar wheat and sweet potato fries. I convert the carbs into resistance starch before consuming them LAST with no adverse impact on my post meal blood sugar. Thank kait for helping my journey.
I believe i was headed there if I didn't change my WOE (way of eating) by doing the research on Keto and Carnivore. I'm mostly Carnivore and have lost almost 30 lbs since 7-1-23! I'm sleeping better, waking up feeling fantastic, better over-all mood and clothes falling off of me! I never felt better since my 30's and I'm 62 currently! 🙌
Beauty and brains! Thanks for the insights, Kait! Love your channel. I so appreciate the advice given. I keep a bunch of avocados in my fridge and ripen them in a brown paper bag as needed. I also make sure to have plenty of Pasture-raised eggs on hand as well. I just made some patties from grass-fed beef. Question. Can I use Wild Salmon from a can instead of mackerel? Please advise, and thanks again.😉
Yes if you read the Can it says lots of Omega 3 in it. Make sure it’s Wild Caught listed on the can though. I eat canned mackerel, canned pink salmon, & canned herring several times a week. All say Wild Caught & Omega 3 on the Cans. Canned might have alot more sodium in them then eating fresh fish but just drink water plus the fish will lower blood pressure anyway so the high sodium doesn’t matter then.
My Mother had type 2 diabetes. She lost an eye, had foot amputated, and was on dialysis when she died. I want to be here, and active for my wife and family. I was a 14.0 A1C and latest A1C was a 5.6. I eat very few carbs and walk 4 miles a day and that works for me.
Great info, Coach Kate, but one question what do you eat with some of these things like a salad or something? I cannot have carbs because I have a certain situation with my neck. It’s called Cervical dystonia and carbs make it worse.
Thanks ❤ I am going to try berberine supplement. I started taking the acv before a meal and before bed for the past 2 weeks, recently had my a1c checked and it was still high as well as my glucose. What am I doing wrong 😢any suggestions please 🙏

Love all the help you are giving as i am trying to balance my lifestyle with my diagnosis. I was wondering if grass fed and finished beef liver would have any positive effects? I can't stand it but I took the liver from my cow and freeze dried it then powdered it and put it into gel tabs to consume. What are your thoughts? TIA.
Hi Kait After being diagnosed with type 2, I changed my diet to one with low carbs. My reading dropped from 7.7 to 5 to 6.8 now 2 months later. However, my weight hardly goes down and my dawn phenomenon is still high at 7 to 8. Please advise. Susan
I changed my diet when I was told I had type 2 diabetes, went on to a carnivore diet 2 months ago lost 2 stone I check my blood sugar it is now 5 to 6.5
I have recently had unbelievable success in curbing my Dawn Phenomenon. I take 2 Ceylon Cinnamon capsules before bed. Morning reading is consistently below 6.0 compared to the usual 8.5 or more.
When I wake up my glucose is 5.7 to 6.5, then it goes down and never spikes. I monitored daily using a chart I was given, the only time it was close to being above normal 2 hours after I eat was when I had real sushi (expensive as hell no California rolls all authentic), which had a lot of rice, even then it did not go into pre diabetes range two hours after.
Hello :) Thanks allot for this amazing video, but i have a question. What about hotwings, tunafish, green tea, and Kefir yogurt. Are they also good to reverse prediabetes?
Good to know red meat is on your list. It seems red meat / saturated fat is mostly discouraged on other videos. After my pre-diabetes and fatty liver diagnosis I quit drinking beer and avoiding added sugars. Hopefully over time these issues will reverse.
How much avocado? most days I have breakfast of wheat toast with 1/2 avocado, fried egg & teaspoon of salsa. 1/2 square 72% cocoa and fruit (strawberries, grapes & an orange). Then no lunch till dinner. Thoughts?
Working on my diabetes since May 26th 2024 !! Without meds but diet only ! I get retested in August ... ... Notice you changed your hair color . looks better lol
Hi Kaiti! Maybe you could do a video on how to measure grams of protein. Is it a weight measurement and are different protein foods measured differently?
No, not weight. It’s the amount of protein in the food. Like the amount of carbs or fat. Here’s a guide I made instagram.com/p/Cc04jM3vyma/?igshid=aG1oMTg0bjdxb3Vj
Would LOVE to try Good idea, but i live in Australia 😅. Any chance you could let me know what aminos are in it, so i can try make my own concoction? Hehe
I told my DR in the UK that I was going to do Keto and intermittent fasting. He said don't do it, its dangerous. I no longer take insulin and have lost 60 pounds.
The symptoms of diabetes are directly connected to the fact that we eat too much and too often. It is not necessary to eat every day. We are wired to have feast and famine. Eat whatever you want, just don't do it very often. Intermittent and 3 day fasts, colonics and enema's are crucial. Most people consume more food before what they last ate has been digested. It's disgusting.
I think you are correct EXCEPT for the people that have varying degrees of insulin resistance which sadly is now 70-80 percent of the population. For those people it is NOT eat what you want. Zero carb eating is the only way out for them, and that includes me.
Not true. There is literature showing (and I have seen it with clients) that insulin resistance/prediabetes can improve with NO change to weight. What you eat matters.
@@HealthCoachKait I say it is eliminated when we eat in a natural. Feast and famine were/are normal circumstances and of course eating what you can pluck from directly growing from the soil, goes without saying. Refusing to eat fake or processed foods is a given. Ingesting multiple times a day requires insulin secretion and other digestive activity that is not normal for the body, hence the diabetic symptoms. Weight has nothing to do with the symptoms. The frequency and content have everything to do with displaying diabetic symptoms which disappear when we reduce the frequency and the content is only natural foods.
Diet exercise and good sleep. Diet alone is not effective or take a long time with little results. Definitely to avoid high carbs foods. When I have dinner with ground beef or sardines the next morning my reading is in the 80s, sometimes high 70 . Sleep also affect strongly blood glucose
You and many you tubers are only preaching on diabetic stand point as far as food. But for many men we not only fighting pre and t2 diabetes but BPH. So we have to look at certain foods a little differently.
