The Jail House Special run!
Impressive trip. I had you gett'in along around the mile a minute in places (Ballan - Ballarat - Beaufort). Compliments to you and the track staff.
I've travelled the St Pancras - Paris Channel Tunnel line 375 KOH) and that was a lot quiter than the noise in your office.
I wonder if a more pointy nose, ala Japanese style, and some track angling on curves, might improve top speed to 200kph.
@@davidholder3207 the line speed to Ballarat is mostly 160kph and 130kph after that. The high speed trains overseas would be impressive to ride. 🤔👍 Very happy you enjoyed the video 👍 😀
@30:39 cobblebank only 17 minutes drive from eynsbury only 14km my niece and her family live there.
Cool. The area has really built up quite quickly. 😀👍

Nice. I'm in Japan and I went on the Shinkansen from Hiroshima to Osaka but I was caught up in a power outage
@@tomhenry6440 Japan would be very impressive. I will get there one day. It's on my list of must do places. Glad you enjoyed the ride 👍 😀
@@driver667 except that power outage which forced the train to terminate at Osaka. I was captured on the media while getting a refund
@@tomhenry6440 unusual for Japan that the train didn't run on time and terminated early. 🤔👍😀
Nice im going out that way tomorrow
@@beasts4life_99 great stuff. You will be prepared for the trip. 👍😀
@@driver667hopefully without stawelling as thats where im headed to with a coach connection then returning on the overland
Colin did you drive this train?
@@beasts4life_99 sounds like a great day out. 👍😀
@@MargaretCampbell583 no, I didn't drive this one. My camera went for a ride. 👍😀
As you drive out of Melbourne, every time a line branches off, I want to go there too.🥺
I is one greedy martian.
@@martythemartian99 nothing wrong with wanting to ride the rails to all the different destinations. 😀😀👍
It absolutely astounds me how much of this has been redeveloped in the last 25 years, do you have any videos already online or that you might be able to upload? They would have Melbourne to Ballarat prior to RFR
@@davesmith342 it has changed so much. I don't have any videos prior to RFR but I do have one of the old main line via Bungaree. Below is the link. Glad you enjoyed the video. 👍😀

This has been said before but the Volicity horns are absolutely dreadful who ever thought they were a good idea.

@@warrenhennessy7684 hope all goes well for you and you beat that chest infection away. All the best to you both Warren and Ingrid. 👍😀
Is there a way to show the speed of the train?
@@minh5295 I don't have any recording of the speed of the train. 👍😀
Oh that sucks. Yesterday I tried to measure the speed on the train to Ballarat and the GPS wasn't working properly and there isn't a lot of speed limit sign (In Queensland, speed limit sign is everywhere so it is easy to guess the train speed)
@@minh5295 there are not a lot of speed signs in Victoria as it is a requirement of drivers to know the speeds. The Ballarat line has a maximum speed of 160kph for most of the trip. 👍😀
A New Video Colin.?
@@vlinenclasstrains yes 😀👍
