      There is way to open a can without any tools, but you will need flat concrete surface.
      use flat surface of cement concrete as sandpaper and sand down the top edges until the round top separates from the sidewall.

    Unbelievably, this hack does actually work. I was camping with four friends and we had some tinned food for dinner, but no tin opener. They were proper tins, not like the one in this video, but I told them anyway that I would open the tins with a spoon, and incredibly, managed to do so. Cue four very impressed and grateful friends, who would have otherwise not had anything to eat. It does take quite a bit of effort, but hunger is a wonderful motivator! :))

    While there are people saying there are no emergency situations like this, it can actually be useful in minor emergencies. There's been situations where people go on camping trips or something(for example) and forgot the can opener. Honestly, I don't think they are referring to post apocalyptic emergencies. However, technically speaking, cans and spoons are a lot more common than can openers, especially considering that there are usually multiple cans and multiple spoons, and usually one can opener.

    • @Shaunemayfield
      @Shaunemayfield Год назад +3

      It’s funny you bring this up. I’m preparing for a camping trip and realize I didn’t have an opener in my kit so I was curious and wondered how to open a can on a trip if I did forget one. So of course this has very practical usefulness!
