Would a uefi lock impede on this process for a surface book 2? I have a few criteria that may explain my problem. There's a red lock bar at the top of the screen when I power it on. When I go into recovery options, it doesn't seem to recognize the USB drive, and I can't seem to boot through the drive to windows 10.

You can't... No key? Time to reinstall Windows. Unless you can determine what caused this screen to occur, wehter that be a BIOS update, or messing with the TPM settings. Or trying to boot Windows differently.
@@rapsnacks1018 you find it in the Microsoft account connected to your pc. When you log into the correct account, it will show all devices connected to that account. Find the locked one and click “Bitlocker recovery keys”

@@spraywarrior first i took it to an Asus store and they asked me to pay 950+ taxes for a diagnostic check and + for making it run again if they found the problem. So i got it fixed in a local store for 350₹
