I’ll be 63 on October 26rh 2020 i would love to meet a nice Greek gentleman fall in love get married & move there with him & live the rest of my life in Ikaria. 🇬🇷🥰💙
I see peace, love, unity and sufficiency in this Island. They have a strong connections to nature the reasons why it has move on from generations to generations. Preservation of family culture and the island as well by not selling or disposing it to foreigners is a wise decision. Long live Ikaria of Greece!
'Sense of family' is what's missing in most of the western countries. Tell me I'm wrong. That's why so many people end up being lonely and depressed. As humans, we thrive in communities. In India, I know many people who live within the 0.5 miles radius. If anybody needs help urgently and there's no family member around, there are always neighbours to help you out, always. In the UK, you call the police or ambulance first.
You are SO RIGHT! Here in America most people don't even know their neighbors. There is no "village" anymore. I grew up in a small coastal town, now live in another town few miles away that has less than 10,000 residents, but still there is no community. It also seems the younger people are so lost and have very little sense of purpose.
And the truth is - although I don't admit it often, here I am thinking about making money so that I can buy (not mortgage) a house. No wonder both my grandparents lived for 93 and 95 yrs. A lot for me to learn from. Their perspective on LIFE was different. We carry too may expectations and burden ourselves. Processed food, radiation and stress is what's causing diseases and killing us, nothing else.
Sup only person from 2022 here so far, comment if you are from 2022 or am I still alone in this darkening area of time, no one left but me wondering in the abyss
