This was some of the halls for Dartington Uni which merged with Falmouth in 2008 and eventually moved there entirely I think around 2010. I used to live in these halls, as did lots of my friends, it was the best place I've ever lived - totally sucks to see it in this state. Was a really magical place. I stayed there for a reunion in 2018 and it's deteriorated massively in that time, such an incredible waste. Shame you didn't get into the attic on the wooded side of the building - when I last went up there there was loads of students art stuff left in there, not sure if it's been cleared since but probably not looking at the state of the place. Thanks for showing us round!
Fantastic student accommodation. I loved my time in these halls. Met friends I am still in contact with nearly 30 years later. So sad to see it like this. Shameful infact! When there are so many needing homes.
My home from 1984 to 2008. I was caretaker there and its bloody disgusting what a state they have let it get into. It was a hard building to look after but it was beautiful in its day. I won't even go back there to look because it is heartbreaking to see years of work counting for nothing. My daughter grew up there and to her it was simply , home.
I lived in there for a year and many crazy drunk trippy nights. The first kitchen you go into I remember cooking a curry for twenty people in 2009. So many memories.
This was my childhood home from 96 til... 2010? My mum was a student warden. Proper weird seeing you guys look around our old house (from around 14:00)! Absolute travesty what has happened to Dartington, a magical place for so many generations, totally wasted.
It's truly awful seeing it like this. I lived in the room at around 20:50, and my now wife lived in the room before it. Met many life long friends here, had many wild nights with incredible people.
Hey Leute, was eine interessante Location. Fast das volle Programm von Verfall bis Vandalismus und Einrichtung. Super Video, hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Bis zum nächsten mal. Beste Grüße Dietmar.
The "break tube" exit lock is used in schools so that fire exits are locked unless there is an emergency. If they used a push bar lock, the children can open it, so its not secure.
