Thank you. What questions do you have about livestreaming? I usually recommend getting an Atem Mini or Elgato Camlink to connect to the HDMI out of the camera.
@@Josh_Sattin I Mean. The eos R7 and R6 MARK II they both offer the build live streaming. It is really useful to use it for example when they ask you for it at the last moment online on a wedding or any event. But there is no clear video explaining that on RUclips.

What a compendium of fabulous information! One concern I have when using AF for wildlife IS that there are many occasions when subject recognition is poor and/or tracking commences but falls off ( like you I use whole area and touch screen) How do you work around these situations? Keep up the fine work!
Thanks! I find that the AF for wildlife is really good on the newest Canon cameras, but like all cameras, they struggle sometimes based on the subject, conditions, etc. I usually pop into manual focus if I need to. Sometimes you will be able to focus better than the camera. Takes some practice, but it's a good skill to have. Thanks for checking out the video!
Oh Man ! This is absolutely rocking informative video. So much of knowledge . Couldnt digest in one Day 😃 Many many thanks . The best tutorial ever. Thank you again🙏❤
Another question on the white balance - what about the colours around the grey card? What if they were not grey like your space - how would that affect the white balance? Is is just measured at the center point of the screen?
I would assume it reads in the center. Unfortunately it doesn't have that target box like other cameras but I keep the gray card in the center and try to make take up a good bit of the frame. Canon really needs to improve the custom white balance on their mirrorless cameras. It works way better on their cinema cameras.
Thanks so much for this incredible tutorial! I learned a TON! If you’re not sending raw into Atomos I’m curious what video settings on Atomos V you recommend for the most efficient/high quality capture of R6II? Thanks!
40:11 you compare standard to clog3. You end up with a graded clog result that is much better than the standard profile. But can't you grade the standard profile too? You are suggesting there is likely less information there to grade, but that comparison - i'm guessing - would be a lot closer than expected. Standard is 10 bit as well correct?
BTW I left a reply here yesterday but it didn't show up. This video is perhaps the best tutorial on anything I've ever used. I kept coming up with questions while you were presenting and in almost every case they were answered just minutes later.
10 bit vs 8 bit has to do with the amount of possible colors that can be recorded. 10 bit having more possible colors than 8 bit. What shooting in log does is that the camera applies a logarithmic equation to the footage to capture more dynamic range, which you then have to grade afterwards. You can not capture the same amount of dynamic range with a standard profile.
Thank you so much for the thorough walk through!!! If you have a minute, I have a question regarding the HDMI output. I'd like to monitor the audio as well as the video, hopefully without having to connect headphones separately. Any idea whether the HDMI output sends audio as well? I have been unsuccessful so far when trying to monitor both video and sound on an external monitor with sepakers.
Thank you so much for all this valuable information. I discovered you when I first got my R6 mark II , and thanks to you now I love it because I mastered it and feel extremely comfortable on any scenario with it. Thank you so much. I just have one question. I am an event and wedding videographer, and sometimes the receptions are pretty dark. What’s the maximum ISO you would go with this R6 II?

Josh - maybe you said this and I missed it as I had to skip around some…. I always appreciate your content. I have a question for you that I have not been able to find anywhere else…. tomorrow I will getting a new Canon R6 Mk II - I would like to know the BASE ISO - I know there is a base on cinema cameras which make for optimal image results. I also know 1/3 increments ISO often show worse noise. But does this have an optimal ISO? If you know or can find the answer I would appreciate it. Could not find answer in on-line manual or Canon PDF specs list. Thanks

Great video 👌 Just got the R6II (have the R5 since before) But did only do photo. If shooting video of motorsport , motocross bikes to be accurate, is using auto iso a way to go?
