Yes shells are excellent. When i make boiled eggs i dry out the shells an pulverize the into powder and us a tablespoon or so into his homemade food. Best to use shells that have been boiled to clean of impurities. I also use the shells in my veggie garden.
Ok, didn't have sardines, so used a can of tuna and my baby went crazy for these. He is a very picky eater, but he went right for it. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much Ryan, I really really enjoyed watching you create those Sardine treats for your dog. I’m going to try these, but with chickpea flour instead. Please stay safe and well too xxxx Mags ❤❤❤❤
I'm going to try this with Tuna, Oat flour, and coconut oil. I'm also going to make them flatter and crispier, and after baking, I will stick them in a dehydrator for 8-10 hours to make them last longer.
About ten minutes before they are done, turn off the oven crack the door, and leave them until the oven cools. You should create the same effect as dehydration without any additional steps or electricity being used. They should easily dry all the way out and last for many weeks at that point.
I bought sardines in olive oil by accident. So, I did not add extra olive oil. It was still quiet moist had to use 2 cups of almond flour. My dog loves them. Thank you for the recipe.
Your videos just popped up on my feed and I'm glad they did. Easy recipes and entertaining to watch. I've been making dehydrated ground beef or turkey treats for my girls but I would like to give them variety, so I'll try these and your 2 ingredient recipe. I hate fish and fish smell, but I love my girls, so I'll turn on some fans and open the windows and give these a try!😅
Wow! Your doggie is so polite and patient! Thanks for the great recipe! I'm going to try it for my lab, Mr Tsokos, who is definitely going to love it (and is neither polite nor patient when it comes to food).😁
Thanks for the recipe ,I’m going to try it for my border collie and my Chiweenie, they both love tuna so probably will love these “fish fritters”.Love the German Shepard on the beach, and your beautiful blue eyes pup.Thank you👋🥰👋
Made something similar. I have a finicky 3 y/o American Akita. He has somehow outgrown most fish as this was his food of choice as a pup. Now he just snubs his nose at anything fish. His was ground pork well done, eggs, oat flour, heavy cream, & water and instead of olive oil, I used coconut oil. Lol😂 I guess mine was a four ingredient recipe.
Awesome! Hopefully i can use salmon or tuna instead. You added oil, could you not just use the oil from the sardines? Also can i use coconut oil instead of olive oil? Thank you!
LOL...I literally had to cover my eyes when you ate that nasty thing. Our dog loves them - I can't even be in the room when they're opened, but for our Little Buddy's sake I sucked it up and opened those gross little fishies, and made him some food that he really, really loves.
Our dog likes hot sauce sardines, and if you added a people jerky my family would eat these! Could you make something spicy and or/cacao bites (balls)?
Thank you for the recipe, my little guy was just diagnosed with a liver shunt. I've started making his food and needed some treats, he loves sardines! Where/when did you use the water?
I love the dog on the beach. Is your dog up for a date? I’ll have to try these out for the next time my human has a party. 🎉 No I’ll just fix them for all by himself. Thank you. Bon appétit .
Would using canned salmon or tuna be just as good? I’m hoping to talk my neighbor into letting me make treats for her dog that I take care of. He has some kind of food sensitivities and his treat ingredients are pretty bad. (I haven’t read what’s in his food but I’m sure it’s not any better.) but he always has very yellow mushy poop and I really think it has to do with his food and treats.
Absolutely. Nutritional profiles and textures are both very similar. This will be a HUGE difference from his current food. Remember to introduce slowly in the beginning as moving away from current diet can be very messy. Good luck, your doing a good thing.
Hi I check the salt content on the can of sardines. Here in South Africa they do have low salt and low sugar as it is law here to have low quantities. I think you can also roast your own fresh caught sardines and use them in this recipe. The oil in sardines is packed with omega 3 6&9

Sounds great!
I learned something, when you are playing with your ball to much it will fall appart. 😁 is hanks for the smile and the recipe.
So true!

We had one of those as well and he acted the same, the quintessential hog.

Loved this! Just made some for my beagle and she loved it!!!!
Awesome!
Cant wait to try this for my baby Amber-Bliss

Making these right now! Wish me luck 🍀

Can I use a can of pink salmon? If so, would I double the recipe
Great video my dogs loved them

love love love more more more
Love it.
I trust you. You look like a good dog guy. Thanks for this recipe. My dog is wagging his tail already
Hope you enjoy
How much coconut flour? Thanks
Our dog likes hot sauce sardines, and if you added a people jerky my family would eat these! Could you make something spicy and or/cacao bites (balls)?
We can certainly give the carob a shot. Hot sauce and dogs don’t typically go together. You definitely have an anomaly there.
Love your channel!
Thank you so much!
Thanks!
No problem!
Beautiful dog!
My dog has to go on a grain free diet 🥴 thanks for this
Thank you for the recipe, my little guy was just diagnosed with a liver shunt. I've started making his food and needed some treats, he loves sardines! Where/when did you use the water?
Never used the water, it was just there if there wasn’t enough moisture.
I know this has been recorded a while ago but how much flour do you use?
What is the amount of coconut flour you used? 1/2 cup or 1 cup?
I just asked the same question. Not sure either. I will try with 1/2 and see how it looks.
I love the dog on the beach. Is your dog up for a date? I’ll have to try these out for the next time my human has a party. 🎉 No I’ll just fix them for all by himself. Thank you.
Bon appétit .
Always looking for new friends.
Can you freeze them? They look awesome!
Yes you can!😊

I listen to your video three or four times trying to figure out if you ever said how much flour you use
Do you only use sardines in water?
Does this need to be refrigerated?
Watch the whole video 🙃
When you play with your balls too much they fall apart!!😂😂😂
In what moment should I add the water? ,🙈
Axactly
At 2:55 and 3:25 you can see the cup of water still on the table. He never added it.
what is the salt content on the sardines?
Very high but diluted in recipe
Hi I check the salt content on the can of sardines. Here in South Africa they do have low salt and low sugar as it is law here to have low quantities. I think you can also roast your own fresh caught sardines and use them in this recipe. The oil in sardines is packed with omega 3 6&9
My dog is allergic to gluten and what about the water
Great video, but i heard Coconut was toxic for dog's!
I thought tree nuts were bad for dogs as well.
Thank you - interesting but the proof of the pudding is in the tasting...😂
Did you add the cup
Of water?
Nope, don't need it.
Ok....I watched this twice and never saw him add the cup of water??? I'm so confused
Didn't need the water. Just there in case they were a little dry in the mixing bowl.
Me either! 🤔🤔 did he use it without filming??
Have a friend who has a dog with kidney disease and cannot have food or treats with protein, any suggestions??
Ask your Vet
Can you use all-purpose flour?
Yes you can!
Can I make these for my cat?
Sure, nothing anti feline in these.
Can you freeze leftovers?
Absolutely. These hold very well frozen
did not mention amount of flour or adding the water
Hi Valerie, 1 cup of flour and the water wasn't actually used at all. We just had it there in case they were a little dry
Add some apple sauce. It will moisten the treats.
Uh...did he just say "if you play with your balls too much they fall apart"? Haha.
He did...
You never used the water???
Nope you dont need it.
Are they hard all the way threw
Actually they end up being pretty soft
Aren't almonds BAD FOR DOGS???
did you forget the water??????
Why grain free?
Be sure to get vet approval before using nut based flours. Some nuts are toxic to dogs
Why not just say 5 ingredients?
