Good morning! Been making homemade dog treats from my house for years now and this easy recipe is always a winner! Some of the "meat" baby foods have onions in it and I choose not to use those. Just a reminder to people to always look at the ingredients and make sure they're safe for pups. For senior dogs or ones that have dental issues, baking them a little less for a softer treat is the way to go. I will dehydrate some as well or leave them in the oven to dry out more since they have no preservatives like store brands. They freeze great too! Ya gotta love those fur babies!! TFS Wags and wet kisses from Texas! ; )
How long do you dehydrate yours for? I'm trying to figure out the shelf life for the treats I make. I dehydrated some for 8 hours and they're hard! Is that ok? Then do you still have to refrigerate or freeze them?
I know this is an older video, but I just now found your channel. I don’t have small cutters. Could you use this dough to put in a Nordic Ware dog treat mold to bake instead of rolling them out?
My poor doggy is allergic to everything.. can you make a treat using coconut flour.. and maybe some kind of crunchy kibble using coconut flour also would be so helpful and appreciative.. ty
i am for sure going to try this. we buy pork loins, slice on our electric slicer and run them through our dehydrator. break them into pieces and viola. dog treats. but these will be great for something different. we also cook liver and kidney hen dehydrate them and powder them. I could add some of that powder to this. they would love it! so this is carrot and fruit? do the dogs love them?
Hi, I have a Shih Tzu and Maltese mix 6 year old. She suffers from allergies (environmental) and sensitive to most meats, she also develops struvite crystals in her bladder (this started recently) can you come up with a recipe that is grain free and uses only fruit and vegetables appropriate for dogs with bladder problems? Thank you so much. I just discovered your video for the first time today. I’ve subscribed and look forward to watching all your videos.
I would be careful not to use baby jar food for puree. Especially as your dog has diabetes....baby food is very very high in sugar for babies let alone a dog x
Any Flour should work. Problem with grain free is you might have to add an egg. The lack of gluten in grain free flours will not allow the biscuits to bind and stay together.
Absolutely. But the problem is portioning out the cbd in an even manner so all of it doesn't end up in one treat. Also keep in mind it will alter the base flavor so don't go nuts. Add it to the baby food mix them then incorporate. Try to knock your oven temp down to 275. Bake a little longer to dry them out and you should be good to go.
If your dogs have an upset tummy , you can add 3 table spoons of arrow root , in with the flour , i use rice or chickpea flour its better than normal flour , i also if doing a baby jar of veg i grate carrots in as well ..
Please make sure there is no preservatives or sugars in the baby foods. Unfortunately a lot of even the natural baby foods contain things a dog or baby should not have.
NO! Make your own puree, come on people WTFORECAST! Baby food is made with extra crap…AND it’s cheaper to make your own, save the broth from the veggies and ice cube it.

You can also add a tiny bit of molasses and make soft chew treats.
AWESOME THANK YOU!!
ALWAYS, Paula C ❤
I love that he tasted it 😂❤ if we can't eat it, dogs shouldn't eat it.
Exactly ! 🤗🐶🤗🐶🤗🐶
Not always. Some dog can eat raw meat, bone and offal, have my doubt that you can eat those!
Because there are no preservatives we recommend refrigerating treats at the end of the first day and using within a week.
Thank you!!! so straight fwd and simple!!!
I loved this video! My grandpup and I will have fun with these.
I needed a training treat... this is perfect!
Those look so great and easy I’m going to get a jar of baby food first chance I get to go to the store

if i'll put vit E in it how long will be the shelf life and how much vit e can we add? great vid! :)

I know this is an older video, but I just now found your channel. I don’t have small cutters. Could you use this dough to put in a Nordic Ware dog treat mold to bake instead of rolling them out?
Sure. You can bake them any way you would like. As long as you can press the dough into the molds, you should be fine.
My poor doggy is allergic to everything.. can you make a treat using coconut flour.. and maybe some kind of crunchy kibble using coconut flour also would be so helpful and appreciative.. ty

I have a diabetic dog. Can you show treats for my dog.
I would be careful not to use baby jar food for puree. Especially as your dog has diabetes....baby food is very very high in sugar for babies let alone a dog x
How would you store these? Do they need to be refrigerated? How long will they last in the fridge?
Yes I would like to know this also! I wish they'd respond
@@emilyrose9022 Me too, but that was three weeks ago so I doubt it.
Yes you need to refrigerate them and they last about a week
Cant we use fresh puree instead the bottled stuff?
He said yes
Do they need to be refrigerated
yes
Thank you for sharing
Do I need to use with grain free flour?
Any Flour should work. Problem with grain free is you might have to add an egg. The lack of gluten in grain free flours will not allow the biscuits to bind and stay together.
I need a no fat dog treat, my dog has pancreatitis and fat makes him sick. This recipe sounds great. Thank you.
Good luck that's always a tough one. Please check out our chicken jerky on our site as well. An awesome almost no fat option for you as well.
Awesome thanks

What is the best way to store homemade dog treats and how long will they last
I am definitely making them tomorrow
Hey Brenda,
Good for about a week in the fridge. Ours are usually gone long before that.
can you use oat flour ? this is such a easy recipe
You can certainly try. Oat flour has no gluten so you might have add egg to keep them together.
Can we use almond flour instead of wheat or grain free flour?
Yes but you will need to add eggs.
Love it...
thank you❤️
I make all these from organic whole foods with no eggs , they hold together just fine
Will you be able to make a dog cookie with only 2 or 3 ingredient?? because i will always fail...😅
They don't get any simpler than our recipes that's for sure. We aren't that smart so we keep it simple
would you be able to incorporate CBD oil?
What kind of flour Can I use? Whole wheat or gluten free?
Wheat works best, if you use gluten free your gonna need a binder (egg or the like) to keep them together
my dog is diabetic can you show how to make something for him?
We can certainly look at some diabetic options. Stay tuned.
What flour you use?
Thank you for the recipe. We feed our dogs homemade food. But buy milk bones.
