    Thank you for the guts to record this - if it were up to so many musicians (like Sokolov himself), their whole lifetime would consist of less than 20 hours of recordings and not cover more than half of their actual repertoire. For example, has Sokolov made any commercial Rameau piano recordings of the longer works (not his encores)? And yet you have captured his incredible achievement in showcasing Rameau as a great keyboard composer in a way few pianists have ever done. Thank you.

    You are welcome ;) There's also a recording of Rameau Suite in G (3 videos) on my channel. I am not sure if it was ever released commercialy. Very unlikely as it seems. The copy I have was recorded from mezzo.tv.

    Finally, everyone has now the opportunity to have Sokolov play for themselves only in a private concert. Thank you so much for this wonderful and touching upload! (Any chance you will post the Händel-Variations as well?)

    You are welcome. Unfortunately I didn't get to record the second half of the concert because the hall attendants stopped my outrageous crime of piracy which I had most certainly undertaken in pursuit of illegal profit ;

    wonderful performance but you should not have breathed for 32 minutes....
    a shame that they did not make a regular recording of this concert

      As I know (remember), they told us to keep extremely quiet during the same concert here in Amsterdam (well, the most we could :) )... Because "Mr.Sokolov wished to record the concert live.." ... I am not sure.. But no so long, he signed up with DG.. Maybe this will be published one day?? I would LOVE that..
