Amazing collection! The NeoGeo cart size, the quality of the arcade packages is quite different from any other game system. A lot of fighting games on the NeoGeo so if you are into those types of games indeed the NeoGeo is for you. The shmups on the systems are also very much worth getting. Thanks for showing this amazing set.
Awesome collection, I miss my MVS 4-slot, it it had issues that I didn't want to deal with. Still, I wouldn't mind adding another one (in nicer shape) to my collection, some day.
Do you watch Classic Gameroom ? Mark has reviewed some of those Neo Geo arcade games, and he is huge fan of those, and they have the arcade cabinet. But those Neo Geo cartridges are like 400€ each at here Finland.
Great video looking forward to your AES collection, would be great if u did a lets play of a real neo game in action instead of all the emulated videos on youtube. My vote goes to Art of fighting 3 :)
Great video. Even turned off adblock for some clicks. The Neo Geo truly is amazing and hold up great today. Remember playing Metal Slug and Puzzle Bobble in Pelikaani back in the day. Now I have to resort to other methods to play the arcade versions.
So weird you did this vid,i just got a cmvs in a trade from a friend and absolutely love it!I also got Metal slug MSx,SS4 and RB Fatal fury with it and I agree there all amazing and Metal slug is prob one of the greatest series ever made, cant wait for aes collection(must have one)Keep it up man!!!
Nice collection dude. I forgot you had arcade stuff. Then I remembered your Naomi collection too which is also epic. I've only got MVS carts, but I'm happy with my 17 so far. Also 13 Naomi 1 & 2 games. Also you should get Hyper Neo Geo 64 too. Cheers
I only have 3 MVS games at the moment. KoF94, Blazing Star, and Metal Slug X. I'm currently hunting for a copy of Garou MOTW and Pulstar. Electronics repair is my hobby so I bought a broken 4 slot and fixed it. I then went ahead and consolized it and built my own arcade controller for it. At the end on the day I had about $150 into the CMVS and the controller together. Biggest cost was the Unibios and the RGB to NTSC converter because I was too lazy to make one. That's a pretty decent price for everything if you ask me. Certainly way cheaper than buying one made by someone else.
I don't know how you say haleluia in Finnish, but let's just say i'm loking forward for your aes collection.8).. Like your videos, love the aes.8).. Thanks.
Gameplay is basically the same fun, arcade character driven style, however the characters are anime ... You should pick it up on the PS3 mate, I'm 100% sure you will love it :)
Great vid mate, Neo Turf Masters is the best golf game ever, Everybody's Golf does take it close, I think Everybody's Golf is really the spiritual successor to NTM, what do you think Finngamer?
@1:49 An oversized cartridge with a tiny amount of data on it. ^^ You always know what you are paying for. ;) Size doesn't always matter. The eniac wouldn't fit in most living rooms but would be outclassed by any average modern computer. ^^
That was great "collection video". Really good games also. I really have to ask where did you buy those shockboxes? My own MVS-games would really need boxes for better safekeeping (then again...i really doubt that anything could really break MVS-cartridge). Maybe i should do my own "collection" video sometime..
I got most of mine through the forums at neo-geo.com. Nowadays you can get them here, for example: southtown-homebrew.com/index.php?cPath=170&osCsid=9fb9ff361d5ba4c278683a4e5feda79c
I think definitely, but you can see it for yourself. :) What do you think? It basically does require a professional printing of the insert as well, check out southtown-homebrew.com/
i know you have a complete n64 collection and are now working on the wii u, is there a website i can go to that will give me a complete list of games for a certain system, im trying to collect for a couple of systems at the moment
You'd have to google around, sometimes there aren't complete lists. Like with the N64, there were several good lists, but none were 100% correct. So I made my own list that was. :) For the Neo-Geo, check this out: neo-geo.com/snk/masterlist.htm
Yes they are. You can play any game in AES or MVS mode with a special BIOS chip, the carts have both of the versions in. (Apart from the MVS exclusives, of course)
Ok, checked it, and looks like there are a number of games that have two AES versions. So BOTH an indentical one to MVS AND a tweaked AES version exist. This was due to SNK getting rid of their surplus boards before doing the new ones.

Nice collection.
There is something very beautiful about a complete MVS kit.
Yeeew!! Love me a good finngamer video! Great stuff mate.
SSIII, I remember you and I trying to get through the single player, impossible!
Awesome collection, I miss my MVS 4-slot, it it had issues that I didn't want to deal with. Still, I wouldn't mind adding another one (in nicer shape) to my collection, some day.
imo the 1-slot boards are the easiest to keep going and far cheaper +basically jamma plug and play

Neo geo cart would be a great melee weapon in Doom.

@finngamer: there are more important things in life than video-games! *just jokin'*
1) impressive collection!
2) please gimme all your money!
1) Thanks!
2) I don't have any, it's all in my collection!

Haven't actually played Everybody's Golf, how is it a spiritual successor? :)
You have the best of Neo-Geo, thumbs up for that. But what's about Sega Mega Drive & Genesis?
@1:49 An oversized cartridge with a tiny amount of data on it. ^^ You always know what you are paying for. ;) Size doesn't always matter. The eniac wouldn't fit in most living rooms but would be outclassed by any average modern computer. ^^
Awesome collection there! I presume you got the shock boxes from the states?
Yeah.
Thanks! Keep doing the videos, nice channel =)

Great collection finn. I have about 30 loose MVS carts, those shock boxes look great, but are they worth it?
I think definitely, but you can see it for yourself. :) What do you think? It basically does require a professional printing of the insert as well, check out southtown-homebrew.com/
How could you find them all in the box?
im a mere mortal with only loose mvs carts haha, i do have all the King of fighters series though 😇
coleccionas, pero no los juegas?
Garou Mark of the Wolves
great video, how much do you usually pay for a neo geo cartridge?
On average maybe 50-100 euros. I have the cheap ones already though, so the rest are more expensive on average.

Not all the games are exactly the same, look at magician lord
Yes they are. You can play any game in AES or MVS mode with a special BIOS chip, the carts have both of the versions in. (Apart from the MVS exclusives, of course)
finngamer not with Magician Lord look it up if you don't believe me
