Dude this has gotta be some of the most flagrant clickbaiting I’ve ever seen. Your video title is about Furiosa. The opening sentences are about Furiosa. And then 20 seconds in you reveal it’s actually about Fury Road. That’s…a different movie!
This movie is a masterpiece! Not sure why everyone isn't filling up those movie theaters as this is absolutely a big screen experience.
I think a lot of people go on vacation during Memorial Day, Mad Max has always been a cult franchise, and i know it’s getting tons of praise overseas. I went with my gf to the IMAX premiere on the 24th, and there wasn’t even that many people there.
Fury Road had a similar opening to this, I think Furiosa’s opening weekend actually made more, anyway if these films weren’t amazing, the cast & crew wouldn’t have gotten a 7-minute standing ovation at the Cannes premiere, & Fury Road wouldn’t have won 6 Oscars.
There are too few strong and independent women in the film cast. That's the problem
....because it was mediocre, not a masterpiece.
@@pfarraldcash6095 Oh shut up.
I went and saw it with my brothers and I agree this movies audio quality was sick. I wish they kept the thunderbike around a bit more!
Why shouldn't have it been made? The first one was a huge hit. The whole franchise is a huge hit. Its Australia's Star Wars. It totally makes sense why it was made.
The movie has zero to do with Australia. Mel Gibson does not have an accent and his not Australian and even is he was , where the actor is from doesn't matter and the movie is based on California/Nevada desert. I'm so tired of hearing Mad Max is about Australia or has anything to do with it.
@@Iloveyoubabys ummm the film was made by Australian artists, countless Australian crew, locations, cast. The production uses Australian tax credits and George Miller has expressed in countless interviews how proud he is that it’s an Australian film.
cause he needs to start off with some outlandish statement to keep his audience
@@Iloveyoubabys the film literally starts with a space eye view of Australia. Setting the film there.

CG, story thats been told and told and told and told, replacement hero, girl boss... should I continue?
It's an incredible f-ing film. I think it might be even better than FURY ROAD. Deeper, darker, more expansive, more beautiful, dirty, gritty. It's goddam incredible filmmaking.
I'd take whatever you're smoking bud.
Thor just plays a meaner Thor with a terrible prosthetic. The love story felt unearned and dude is not even mentioned after dying. And to add to your point about it being better than its predecessor, did this film had a powerful moment as when furiosa kneels in the desert and shouts in dismay over the loss of her homeland. OR which furiousa had a more complete and satisfying arc over the course of runtime. You're on some if ya think this one is better. It's not even better than the original trilogy.
@@adityasingh-uz7yr Narrative-wise, I don't want to die on the hill saying it's more moving or effective than Fury Road... I think it's more expansive and darker, and the relationship between F and Praetorian Jack was as deep as anything in Fury Road, and set up her relationship with Max in FR. But what I DO think is that the filmmaking is even more exquisite in FURIOSA. The compositions on the frames, the fluidity and ingeniousness of the camera movements, the staging of people's movements at every moment... I thought the 15 minute chase scene was maybe the finest sequence in the entire series. But whatevs. I'm generally a story-first kinda guy, but I was just overwhelmed by the visual poetry in this film.
It's a Horror movie advertised as an action movie.
Wdym
Every Mad Max has horror elements, it’s a post apocalyptic wasteland lmao
@@ultraviolet540 nothing horrifying imo
I saw Fury Road at the cinema and it was 50/50 but not like the 3 before . Maybe because Mel Gibson wasn't in it but i will check the new one out especially having the hairstyle as Max in Mad Max 3.😀
Fury Road was my favourite
@@BeauLambertVideos Mad Max 2 is my favourite
Fury Road is the second best of all of them.
Loved the new one, it felt not like the original trilogy!
Marvel didnt expect to be personally attacked like that....Hemsworth says I've worked on a lot of films where it's just spectacle, a carnival ride, the props are utterly meaningless, trite vapid nonsense......... but this is real filmmaking, George is an auteur. Not having a script is crazy, although it clearly worked, I wonder what the reason for that was, it was a comic book right, the storyboards were effectively a comic. It's strange to think this is a more effective comic book movie than MCU movies as they don't follow a comic book style storyboard nearly as closely as this. This is the legit comic movie.
Zach, 100% agree! Furiosa was so amazing! You really have to see it on the big screen to get the most out of it. It's quite sad it didn't do well at the box office, but I'll be forever grateful to George Miller for giving us this masterpiece of a movie. I'll be watching Furiosa over and over, once I get it on Blu-ray.
Amazing storytelling and amazing movie
I saw the documentary of the guy that created Star Wars everything you can imagine happen making that movie even someone died but they pushed through that what I call a person that committed to their vision
Furioso was amazing in cinema, one of my favs now
Very misleading title to this video.
The whole time watching this, I'm just like HOW THE HELL do you make something like this.
@ZachRamelan What’s the music that’s playing in the background of the video at 5:30?
Furiosa is great!! I’ll probably see it a few times since I have A-list
Garfield did better in the Box office. And it didn't even break even it was a Dud. Nobody likes feminist movies.

Furiosa had some crappy CGI that looked so bad they should have just not put it in the movie at all. It really took me out of the movie. Unlike Fury Road that I didn't even know what was CGI and what was.
It sucks it was made in a time where everything is so damn expensive

just saw it. good film, but way too much CGI. Fury Road a much better film
Planning to see it this weekend!
I AM GOING TO RANT HERE.
No, this is not the big masterpiece. Miller mastered it with MAD MAX in 1979 and THE ROAD WARRIOR in 1981. This film is a re-invention with a difference, it has a female protagonist and is overdone with CGI and comical and goofy, nearly cartoon-like characters and vehicles. Like WTF did I see.
Even though this is his newest art piece in the collection, it's definitely not his masterpiece that will draw the crowd to watch or rewatch. It is a one-off watch film just like Fury Road and that's it.
So many fans would say to me "It does not look interesting, Who cares if it's about some other character and not Max, Or it will be a failure at the box office" and they were right.
Question; Why a prequel of Furiousa? Why not an Immortan Joe prequel, he seems far more interesting then Furiousa.
The first three films I have rewatched so many times since I was a child in the eighties, on VHS, on free-to-air TV, then on DVD and Blu-ray, downloaded and streamed and I still never get tired of them and I appreciate the great work he did with these masterpiece films. But I have only watched Fury Road once in 2015 at the cinema and Furiousa. I don't care to see either film again to be honest. I may re-watch Fury Road but I am just really not that interested enough to re-watch it. But I always re-watch the first two films, why - BECAUSE MILLER HAD IT MASTERED BACK in MAD MAX in 1979 and THE ROAD WARRIOR in 1981. Its the same with these Ghostbuster films the first two were great, these new films I will not re-watch, why because it was done right with the first two. Same with the Terminator franchise. the first two films are great the new films, Meh. Don't care to see again.
This Furiousa is too long, it's over-saturated with CGI, and where is Max's saga. This is the film most fans did not ask for. Who cares about Furiousa, I don't. I want to follow the epic journeys of Max Rockatansky and preferably the Ford Falcon V8 Interceptor. Just like the legend of King Arthur and the Excalibur sword, the V8 Interceptor is for Max.
It really shows once again how the Directors, Writers, Producers, Marketers and Executives of Hollywood are not listening to their fan base's, their audiences or studying the market. Just simply out of touch with reality. (Guess it makes sense with liberal/Socialist thinking).
How is Furiosa a masterclass?
Well it's a good movie. Do you see a lot of them lately?
@@lolev6594 Plenty. But the title is clickbait and the video is barely about Furiosa, which was good albeit definitely not a masterclass
Why upload this now?
The films not even out yet
I already saw the movie... It showed in advance in the Philippines on a Wednesday ( since all of new movies in the Philippines starts on a Wednesday anyway )... One word for the movie... Brilliant !... Cinematography, Stunts, Action, Story and the Color Grading... Someday if ever I make an indie film I wish it would have the same color grading as Furiosa... I forgot to mention that Anya Taylor-Joy is brilliant in this movie... better than Charlize Theron's version of the same character.
You mean masterclass in color correction and cgi, right?
New chanllenge for all of us: spend 78 days to make a 15 min RUclips video! 😁
Hahaha Isn't that wild. 78 DAYS!!!
You can make 2 short films in that time haha
I just watch trailer for first time...

It was a great film
One of the best action movies 🔥
Mad Max: Fury Road is a masterclass on modern film making... Furiosa is not. It's a member berry of Fury Road, the greatest action movie ever made... It's so sad but no one will talk about Furiosa in 10 years.
I LOVED Fury Road, did not like this AT ALL. Story was all over the place and mostly non sensical. HUGE disappointment for me, but apparently I'm in the minority on this.
Fanboys here on the hype train.
fabulosa furiosa.
Lmfao masterclass...paid simps are ridiculous 😂😂
'masterclass' had me rolling my eyes as well
@@994pt4 it is way more "fast and furious" cgi fake cartoon action than the original real cars and real stunts gritty action of the originals.
It's not. Fury Road was and Furiosa looks like a cheap version
If you wanna take your analysis to another level you need to look deeper into the meaning of Joseph Campbells' distractions. The Heroes Journey is the bibles. Christ is the heroes journey (I'm very anti religious fyi) Notice Hemsworth calls himself a Messiah in this one and wears a red cape like Christ. Max is the Christ figure in Fury Road of course. Every movie uses bible symbolism. These directors are not being honest at all about the movies. These movies are also predictive programming for what's coming to us after they stage nuclear war in real life.
I'm eagar to look deeper into this. A lot of Cambell's work comes up in writing all the time
Lmao the title
Way too long for me. It should have been at least 2 movies.
Definitely not a masterpiece
The cgi was terrible. Anya Taylor Joy is a girl boss with little weakness or flaws and displays above average plot armor early on. World building wasn’t utilized enough leaving more questions than answer as well.
I can understand why FURIOSA tanked at the box office. Audiences are suffering from girl boss fatigue. Women aren’t as interested in the brand as men are. In addition cinemas are in competition with a plethora of convenient streaming services
Mad Max: Fury Road is a masterclass in filmmaking.
Furiosa, is a good sequel with poor to terrible cgi. It has nothing masterclass about it. Period.
It's a prequel
the movie looks like shit. They put cheap intagram filters over everything.
To love you boys comment below George miller the director is from Australia the movies are made and filled with Australia actors Mel Gibson although born in New York His family moved to Australia when he was 11 years old So it's Not in the Nevada California desert It's never really specify but if it's anywhere it's all Australia it's certainly not in the matter of California so you're wrong love you boy
Very Carl Jung or the Jungian concept of the collective unconscious.
Wasn’t close to as good as fury road
You got a strange accent... you say "felm" instead of /fɪlm/
For me, The Road Warrior is the ultimate mix of action and tragedy in the Mad Max franchise.
Fury Road seemed to me nothing more than "the same as that, but even MORE.!"
A literal guitar player and a guy with a coat of bullets?
True...and furiosa is even more absurd...esp the cgi....
Thank you
Yup and Fury Road is fantastic despite its simplicity.
I dare say, George outdoes himself
@@swann433honestly, none of the cgi stood out except for the de-aged bullet farm guy. I thought it looked great
Mad Max is a fantastic set of Australian films, very proud as an Aussie! 🇦🇺
4/10
Not sure what this guy making this video is all about he seems like a very young immature wanna be movie maker With a lot of opinions and trying to explain the people to grandis himself how miller did all this stuff I don't really see the whole point of his whole video it just seems like a Young immature like I said 1 of movie guy Good luck to him
Fury Road is amazing, this new trailer looks eh! Chris Hemsworth movies have been subpar
Stoked to see Furiosa!
Oh and we get to see how Furiosa lost her arm. Epic!
Except that the cgi looks like azz and pretty much makes parts of the film look really really bad....
Mad Max (the OG) was profitable because it's a good movie. American audiences got it on t.v. with American accents dubbed in...1984? When you refer to Mad Max you need to designate the film you are talking about. There are now 5 Mad Max films. When computing "profit" you have to, you know, figure in a few million in rentals and streamers. 200 mil on Mad Max? Since the eighties maybe ten times that.
Masterpiece?
The mad max movies with a Mad Max in them were great.
Fury road sucked. I know better than watch the new Furiso one.
Get rid of girlboss story line and bring back Mel.
George did indeed have it in him to make it epic
The first two were great. 3rd was just ok. Fury was good but had some lame political issues that were forced and now furiosa looks like more marvel type cgi couples with more modern era attempts to have females act like males and do it better which is ....lame.
no it didn't, the whole point of Fury Road was unity against evil, its a pretty simple story
@@thisbubblygoodness7611 did you miss the part where the old ladies talk about one man one shot? lame...
@@swann433 did you miss the part where the old ladies were proceeded to be run over by a truck or stabbed in the neck? is that an attempt to have females act like males too? it sounds like you're projecting, since when has surviving a horrible wasteland ever turned into a gender competition? by this logic, Mad Max would also be 'phobic' towards disabled people as all the villains were deformed in one way or another, which is laughable, its shallow
@@swann433 they literally meant they had to be accurate and kill anyone who came close with one shot, reference to being weaker up close, needing to make sure they dont get too close to the green, limited ammo because they cant venture to far lest they be found, and duh why not work on being more accurate if you are being forced to use rifles.
yes i get it. its the fact that old ladies, very old ladies are actual combatants against huge vicious young men. its lame.
I refuse to watch the new one. The previous one was epic. New one looks goofy and too much CGI
You call this a masterclass? That means you have no idea about filmmaking and common sense at all. Not even gonna watch the video.
Thanks for commenting that you won’t watch this video. Sorry you didn’t like the film.
Since every single movie has to be remade or adapted to have a female-lead, why not call this one Mad Maxine?
She's her own established character... would you rather George have done nothing while waiting to make mad max?
Fair chance it’s shite. Fury Road was crap this will probably be worse.
Garfield beat it in the box office. 🤣
Loved Fury Road. Detested Furiosa. Plot made zero sense even for a Mad Max movie. Too many meandering monologues. They pursue her as a young girl then she hides in plain sight as a “boy” and no one notices. She turns into Anya Taylor Joy and no one notices? She’s a totally passive character also. Only reacting to things happening to her not acting except when she’s very little. Hemsworth was boring and dumb. All the villains were dumb. Too many words
Fury road was a piece of shit, and Id bet furiosa is going to be the same. It was spectacle. Nothing wrong with enjoying spectacle, but a good movie? Not even close.
You do realize it makes the movie even better when people don't get it. Your failure to grasp it makes it more special.
