Dr Milani is voice of many Iranian

It is an immeasurable pleasure to listen to the cultured, beautifully articulated speech of this refined individual -Dr Milani
Is it because he is talking bullshit & full of lies. Or because he is on the US and Israel side. I bet, he is on Israelis pay roll.
Great guest! Thanks for inviting Dr. Milani.
Great Interview Charlie. Interesting insights by Dr Milani.

Good to hear the reasonable Iranian viewpoint. The reasonable Iranians need to get rid of the Islamic rulers.
So glad to see these episodes. There's such a vacuum for clear, solid JOURNALISM. I hope we will see more from you, Mr. Rose.

I am so proud of you dearest Mr. Dr. Milani😊Please organize more and more informative conferences for western people who have not learned about Islamic regime🙏🌹
Surprise interview by one of the best journalists with probably the best current historian of Iran affairs !
Hopefully it showed the desperation of Iranian people under years of tyrannical and barbaric rules of Islamic regime, and desperately trying to find a way out.
Good to hear the truth about people of Iran
Only Pahlavi dynasty with the support of Iranian people can build and save the country by the name of IRAN
Thank you, Dr. Milani for a brilliant exposé.
Thanks for this report and thanks to your guest Dr Milani! 👏👍❤🙏
Thanks Charlie, very insightful and great interview
Very enlightening interview. Thanks 🙏🏻
Thanks Mr Rose for such a great interview.
Thank you Mr. Rose . You are and will be one of the best in your profession.
Wow, what an interview! Thank you Mr Rose for returning and doing masterpiece interviews and thank you for your insights about the nature of the Islamic regime and its destructive influence in the Middle East and beyond. Removing the Islamic regime will be an important part of a peace process in the Middle East
Iranian cannot topple this regime by themselves only. It just important how they are helped.
Thanks Dr. Milani
Dr Milaani. Please make the most of what you can do too bad that we don't have many Milani
thank u!
Thank you Dr. Milani for making it clear, as have done repeatedly, that the Iran (Persian) are at odds with the religious dictatorship currently holding 85 million Iranian as hostage. Thank you also for making it clear that the Jews and Persians have lived in harmony for over 2,500 years.
As you have rightly said, the khamenei religious dictatoship will fall sooner or later because the people of Iran do NOT want this thugs in power.
I’m Iranian and I believe Iranian people need the support of western countries to change the regime, without them changing the regime isn’t possible.
Western countries can support regime change in Iran by accepting Prince Reza Pahlavi as the legitimate leader of Iran, pronounce the Islamic regime in Iran illegitimate, and stop all their deals with the current regime.
Thankfully, you don't speak for most Iranians. You need to understand that Reza Pahlavi hasn't been to Iran since 1979, he doesn't know that country. He has much less legitimacy than his Swiss Educated, CIA-MI6 installed father. The Iranian people must choose their own destiny without outside intereference.
@@paulheydarian1281 I speak for most Iranians because I live within them. People of Iran love Pahlavi dynasty and want prince Reza Pahlavi and Shahbanoo Farah Pahlavi back in Iran. Reza Pahlavi hasn’t lived in Iran, because he was forced to leave the country. But he loves and knows the country and people of Iran, because he has been advocating for them over the last 43 years. You can be bitter and call our beloved King MohammadReza Shah Pahlavi names, but he and his father patriots and modernized Iran. Your hateful comment about them, doesn’t change the reality that Iranians love our Pahlavi kings and their family.
Sir, last time the West intervened in Iran, we got...the Islamic Republic of Iran. Maybe you should reconsider any western support over the overthrowing of the IRI. States have no friends, only interests. Under the beloved Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the goal of becoming the 5th worldwide economic power (replacing South Korea in the 1970's) was enough of a threat for these so called '' friends '' to overthrow...their ally, the Shah. Basically, the IRI IS serving the West, by making us miserable and weak, begging to survive. By the way, if the prince comes back on the back of the American power engine, you can be sure that it is not Iran who will be served, but the State Department, the CIA and the White House. This is how it works. The American government does not see other governments as equals, but only as assets or foes. I prefer Iran to pray Allah and found the strength to find a new noble family to institute a new king. Maybe YOU can become king ?
The Pahlavi family is a great one, on par with the Achemenides and Sassanides, which is very telling. They did our country a great service, but I prefer to keep their name as clean and prestigious as possible for the sake of our national pride and individual inspiration. Reza Pahlavi is way too americanised, weak towards Israel, feminist and pro gay to be considered Iranian. I see him as a '' Los Angeles liberal Iranian '', which for me are not the greatest bunch of humans out there. The same way I consider Italian women from Italy to be way more interesting than Italian-American girls from New York or New Jersey.
@@yogi8010you can allow yourself to be enslaved by Israel. .it is your right.
Well said
Somebody get this guy back on the air doing interviews.
Charlie, please go after the breaking story about Sam Altman being fired from Open A.I. As a multi-decade viewer of your show, I know this is right in your wheel-house and would make for a riveting episode of Charlie Rose television with it's dimensions that are technological, economic, geopolitical and existential.

why dont you join first
@@sal78sal Join what? I'm generally on board with Zoroastrian if that's what you mean.
good for you@@S.J.L
@@sal78sal The point is that it would be better for Iran and the world to return to their roots.
Abbas is an Iranian treasure.
Great conversation.
Thanks to both, Charlie and Abbas for this video.
He can refer to 1947 UN resolution that the Shah of Iran was against the creation of Israel.
I love it when an Iranian in the west talk about Cyrus then jump to khameni and hijab...
This has nothing to do with the Jews. We have Jews living in Iran.
Two guys at the top of their game regardless of age...An argument for experience and wisdom...Brilliant insights.
Charlie Rose - Yay - we need your voice, your sword and yur energy in these times where truth seems as 4 letter word.
He is still in the shah's time .
Ha??????
He's not
That was a very paradoxical answer to Charlie’s question. He says there is zero chance for the regime to survive but people of Iran can not defeat this regime easily. Mr. Milani be honest and say that people of Iran need stronger force to achieve their goal.
Extraordinary. I learned so much from this episode, thank you
I read that in 2022, roughly 23% of inhabitants in Iran were between the ages of 0 to 14 years, and 40% percent were aged 15 to 35,which would suggest that younger folks are going to be the majority.
Considering the protests last year when Mahsa Amini died in custody of Iran's morality police I think within the next five years younger people will force positive change. I sure hope so!
QUESTION: what would happen if your average Palestinian were to speak out and denounce the acts of October 7th, and/or denounce Hamas? Death?
Do not forget that young people also age, can make terrible mistakes, regret their choices and change. Young is not a philosophical category or political concept in political science. It is a moment of life, destined to be transcended. Usually it goes from young to adult.
Some Iranians are interested in knowing what's going on with Iran. It might be easier for them to access English or Farsi CC.
Milani talked about a his wish and desire not anythings people inside Iran wish and want!
old mans fantasies and taking money from your CIA paymasters
Wait a minute. Wasn’t Charlie rose accused of sex offensives?
Yes. His plumbing is too old now. 😂
milani is daydreaming
Iran is much more stronger than before and every is getting more powerful
You should be realistic not to talk about yr dreams mr milani
The timing coincides with the political demonstrations shortly prior, in Israel. And also their miscalculation of our engagements in Eastern Europe. And also the Jewish holidays, and also their perception of increased sympathy for Palestinian militants by parts of the West. The events give Iranian religious leadership, (and other groups) video they can build supercut rhetoric on. That in itself is enough for them to participate at the level they have. The response, while properly bold, is the icing on the cake for trying to homogenise Muslim support. More strategic and educated Muslims aren't necessarily going to agree with Hamas's actions of course. But sheep, whose families are not suffering in Gaza, will.
You said the same when Imam khomeini passed away..
The most important reason that the current regime in Iran won't change soon is because of its opposition parties.
Iranian people know very well how to change the regime since they did it once 40 years ago.
The level of disinformation throughout the opposition is high.
When will the world see that the problem is religious fundamentalism? And its not just Islam.
Great interview
A nice reference to death toll in Israel Gaza and the US.
The relative numbers says a lot
8000 dead in Gaza is like 1,000,000 in the US
so that makes Israel look bad
But the number of people that died in Iraq due to US invasion of Iraq who h had nothing to do to do with 9/11 attack was 1,2 millions.
Which relative to us politician equals 13 millions of Americans
Why don’t you count the number of relative deaths in Israel ?
Charlie Rose you're a national treasure
Jews and Israel are two different things. Abbas is totally wrong. He has forgotten what Israel did to the Shah regarding the F-14 operations.
Those who provoked are those who does not want fed to be audited
This guy is member of AIPAC take everything with a grain of salt.

Sane. Great.
Wake up Iran
The fact that a month after the start of the conflict, we still haven’t managed to get a ceasefire, tells me Mr Milani the international law is for the people with power not for the Palestinians and disposed. That’s why the Israelis have nuclear weapon on their side not the international law! Your rhetoric is on what you would like it to be rather than what the reality is!!
May I suggest to replace courageous-feisty-brave-beautiful with Persian woman? So next time one hears "She is a Persian woman" one unserstands she is a courageous barve beautiful and feisty person. Congratulations to them. I am so proud of them. Bravisssssssima! #Woman_Life_Freedom 👏👏👏👏😍🥰
Mr. Milani, why do you keep saying Iran instead of saying the government of Iran.
İranic islam is 80% about авторитаризм and 20% about islam. A them see it as best possible way to keep and develop technological component of life of the country
Mr abbas should know that a democratic iran is a nice dream because iranian society is living in middle ages and the western knowhow , technology ,ideas ,etc have changed it apparently not inherntly. So please think about it.
You are totally out of touch with reality!!!😮
Sounds like the US labeling protesters
Iranian absolutely need western power's help to liberat Iran from this evil regime by supporting technology facilities and by stopping haven any business and putting IRCG to terrorist list and putting sanctions on the regime! So we need thier help off course mr DR?!
Great interview by both sides but Mr Milani must use Islamic republic instead of Iran.
As Iranian we support Israel
Maybe this fellow who speaks so easily about stolen property and abuse should easily give up his property to a stranger.
who created the international laws? The oppressor or the oppressed?
Look up the history of the United Nations and the Geneva Conventions. It's mostly Western countries, the so-called victors of WW2. It's hard to know if China & the former Soviet Union played much of a role.
05:30 omg. omg. Did you hear that? Due to China's facial recognition features in cars, the Iranian Govt. knows who is and isn't wearing a hijab~? (And whatever else. They probably secretly have China install mics, too.) That is some sick surveillance. It turns out weaponry is the main reason simple civilians everywhere cannot stand up to their government. I know a gun is nothing against an army or tanks or whatever else knocking down one's door, but this does give 'reason' to the American tradition of citizens being able to bear arms.
Aghaaye Milani inaa fekr mikunan shumaa ahle Milano Italy hasteed😂
Charlie, thanks for your effort. However, you are talking to the wrong guy. He Don't have a clue what's going on in the world.
You seem to be clueless!
Maybe Mr. Tousi should have been invited, huh? Lmao
He got no morals to question you tell him to F of
Abass Milani must be appeasing the US .He is forgetting 8 years iraq-iran war which was meant to change regime. Ever since Iran has become a power in the region.
Iran? Powerful?😅😅😅😅😅 you have given a new meaning to "power"😮
So, Israel is supposed to wait how long....for Iran to become normal ?
Is Israel normal?
if you dont like it in the Middle East you can always pack up and go where you came from
While I support freedom of speech, be cautious when considering Abbas Milani, the grandson of another Ayatollah and a former member of the Communist Party who opposed the peaceful Iranian monarchy before 1979. Like many Iranian leftists, he moved to the West rather than China or Russia.
And if you pay close attention, you'll notice that he still maintains his Stalin-like mustache…
💚🤍❤️🦁🌞
Oh, come 0n.
Iran not involed in that attack
Its a old conflict even before Iran Revolution
The Iranian Jewishs people left Iran after the revolution of 1979 and took all their wealth with them to build Israel.
Mandela knew how weak his people are ! Even his courageous maganiminous acts didn't save his people from failure...
✡️Paslms 122:6🙏Pray for the peace of Jerusalem🇮🇱they will prosper that🩵✡️
✡️🙏✝️So says the Lord's Prayer✝️🙏✡️
Abbas abdicated his Iranian credentials long time ago. He is getting paid to say what can produce personal income for him. That is his main goal !!
Abbas is an Iranian treasure.
So funny! Maybe he does, and maybe he doesn't!
It's like if a physician is asked about medicine and his expert advice and gets paid for it. Is it a wrong thing? He should do it for free?
Silence, please!!!!!
I'm not sure things in South Africa have turned out according to what Nelson Mandela hoped for. Crime against white farmers, those that have actually stayed, continue to this day in South Africa unfortunately. It is far from the peaceful nation originally envisaged.
It is not IRAN that you are repeating , it is the Islamic republic.
Regards
Mr. Milani, the rhetoric from the right wing of Israeli society is not all that different from that of the Ayatollahs and Soleimanis of this world.
The difference is israel has a real democratic system with other parties and functioning court and real opposing left wing
Another shah lover
Milani is poppet of west
Dr. Milani's grudge toward Iran has called for more sanctions on the regime, which have no effect. Other than hurting the Iranian people. Therefore, I do not accept his views.
Iranian people are diverse, but in regard to the Palestinian issue the vast majority support Palestinians. But there has been a slight change recently where a small group are now Israeli supporters.
I think it’s changing quickly
@@ahappyimago Think most of the change is superficial. They say something to piss of the regime.
@@KeyhanHadjari Nah, Iranians have no reason to care about a bunch of uneducated Sunni terrorists
Quite a big lie. The majority of Iranians are chanting in every public venue they can: “Nah Gaze, nah Lobnan, Janam fadaye Iran”, meaning, Not Gaza, not Lebanon, my life be sacrificed only for Iran (as in Iran the country and not the I R occupiers)! That’s why contrary to the rest of Muddle East, the mullahs, to their chagrin, couldn’t get large numbers of people demonstrating for the Hamas terrorists in their streets. Paris got more Hamas terrorists sympathizers than Iran occupied by godfathers of Hamas/Hezbollah terrorists!!! Lolol
@@ellf535 what does it have to do with atrocities now? The chant is about they want a country focused on their needs.
So you say Israel actions in the past 75 have been peaceful...
