My mobile home a Double Wide had a similar furnace and you are right, the thing was constantly leaking water down on the sequencers and burning them up.
Say, in that closing up, it looked like the drain line was not finished. That is, it went down with a short stub into the top of the blower area. Did I miss something?
Filter drier on the gas furnace is in the wrong position. Arrow should go towards the coil, liquid discharge not suction. Just saying, not sure if you noticed
holy that was a big hole to fill around the lines. just pack something down in there first then caulk it in. paper, cardboard, foil tape, plastic whatever. that will also keep the caulking from sagging out the bottom and leaving a hole. 😁
Good morning Curtis, I enjoy all tou videos. Where are you located ? That outdoor unit on trailer didn't sound too healthy at the end of the install. Get healthy and keep up the great work !
Hey HVAC Guy, don't be so cheap with the wire, always put some extra going to the breaker(just in case). A guy that I used to work for would use exactly enough, never any extra. If a wire burns, then you have to replace instead of cut and hook up.
they gripe at me for leaving the wires too long and making it hard to install devices, with nearly over-cubed boxes. but by god it;s great when in months to 20 years later you have to rewire it adding wires and devices, while swapping to a larger box for upgrades. say cutting out a 2gang box and installing 3 or 4 gang boxes, adding wires/devices. or replacing a breaker, outlet, switch furnace, blower, boiler, etc. I have rewired plenty of things I installed 25+ years ago and have minimally cussed myself. now installing subfloor and other floorings? I recently cussed myself for 4+ hours tearing up a floor, the linoleum and glue was bonded like welded steel, the lauan was rink shank nailed to two other layers of lauan below, then two layers of 3/4 plywood, and it was all glued with subfloor adhesive. boy did I outdo myself on that floor back in 1996 😵😵
just a little advice, after tightening split bolts, first apply a layer or two of plastic electrical tape, then the rubber splicing tape, then more plastic electrical tape....makes it easier to remove all the tape if you ever need to replace or repair the connection. the rubber tape sticks to the split bolt and makes it much harder to remove.
@@Hvacnc Can't say definitively why especially not seeing the function he's got the meter set to. I've got a similar meter and have gotten an alarm for continuity when I've had it set to that function and sometimes I haven't but it's shown a resistance reading. What really counted, and I'd suggest to do it any time you're possibly condemning a compressor, is testing directly between the compressor terminals and ground/line set. This is ultimately what he did and got a massive amount of resistance. He isolated what he believed to be the cause of the tripped breaker and eliminated any other component such as the fan motor, belly band if it had one or any of the conductors attached to the contactor.
I love to see a technician well organized and knowledgeable. I don't mind paying for that type of professionalism.
Love your simplicity in explaining the process/ hope ribs are getting better.
Do you know how he broke them? I have asked but no reply
Maybe none of my business I don't know
@@staind288 he said in a earlier video he bruised his ribs and was very sore/ but work must go on for his customers!
The first call was a hot mess.. hope you get that job. New airhandle looks good..nice job!!!
The job looks great, two thumbs up, 👍👍 thanks for sharing your hard work....
Great job 👍👌

Good point... pull through coils eventually always leak down on electric and blower motor.
Nice work

yes, the end of the video where it shows it finished. lol
Haha, after going outside, you came back and finished the drain.
Good thing you're not soldering in that area.☺️☺️

Was just about mention this
Yea I spoke before I should have. He noticed it and spoke about it
Do you have a video of an install..airhandler..mobile home..probably Goodman or a unit that can be purchased without certification in HVAC...thx
Curtis you should have engraved that knockout you used to cover that hole with your name and the dates of install!!!!

When can we expect your first q&a?
Thumbs up! Can you do a video on how you got started in the trade and opening your own business?
Do those insulation around the line work , what does it do.
Tks for the video

Why did you switch from the M12 to Makita ?

So the rubber tape can supplement kerneys?
It adds a much better layer of insulation.
@@HVACGUY I’ll have it try it on the next one

I hate that the power wires were short, wasn't a big fan on how ya ended up having to do it tbh but good job on the whole job itself bud
Yea that wasn’t no other company… it was the maintenance guys trying to be techs…see it all the time at apartments
What was tripping the main circuit breaker?
Compressor was shorted to ground. Had continuity between a compressor terminal and the line set.
@@bill944 why didnt it beep tho when he tested contactor to lineset or even at the contactor to ground?
