Another nice job. You are extremely thorow! The home owner should feel very safe after that test. Thanks for the well-done video. Give Reily a hug for me.
that is correct, the flame is the load on the circuit and it needs to see > .25uA in most cases of current before the logic of 1(on) is generated, that is a good idea for a video, ill get a spare furnace control board and see what i can find on the micro controller logic
I love to see preventative maintenance videos. A love of tubers think it’s boring to film, and I’m sure it is after the years, but for a new tech it’s very important to know. I really appreciate it thank you so much!
Following for a long time now....but why ,why, stress an exchanger? I pull vacuum hoses to pressure switches, pull limit wires to test. But I see where your thinking, test the limits with heat. I think I'll start doing the same but will pull the limit off and heat with the ole bic lighter
As a maintenance tech this was very helpful, thank you for your hard work. You should do a heat pump heating maintenance video when you get the chance.
Those roll out switches are very brittle over time. Uf you take out the burner section lift slightly up on screws then place dn to catch the burner placement screws, it a bummer sometimes. I get a blue dryer brush off Amazon and clean the inlet tubes to the hx an vac. Do you do a Co test and print it? Thanks for the video m. Go Bryant!!!
Appreciate the video. I think it's safe to say a lot of people aren't gonna go to all that trouble to take a wire brush to the burners unless it's absolutely necessary, but I know you should. 🤷♂
The flame sensor makes perfect sense, that's clever! Never heard of it before, but I do know that plasma (which fire technically is) is conductive and rectifies an arc. And that's how Vacuum tubes, and particularly mercury arc rectifiers, work.
Curtis I always like how you show every step, even mistakes and own up to it. Most techs would be like, "Oh and you needed a new roll out sensor" on the bill.
Good work Curtis. Love the videos. We don't see to many package units here in Wisconsin. I always thought they would be easier to work on then a split system. I will be waiting for the next video.
Curtis I have a question……. I have a Lennox heat pump that on AC it runs fine but on Heat mode it cuts off on high limit with in 10-15 seconds of running and gives me a ambient sensor code. I diagnosed it as a txt restriction but not sure if it’s the condenser txt or evaporator coil!!! What u make of this?
It's a good practice to check all operations B4 you do a PM, JUST IN CASE SOMETHING DON'T WORK. YOU CAN LET THE CUSTOMER KNOW. AND YOU DON'T GET BLAMED FOR IT AND IT COST YOU PARTS AND LABOR.

1 thing I found is that you should shine up where ground screw goes on cabinet. This will help grounding a lot, some times rust will block the ground.
Wow, what great work !
Thanks

Yeh, some don’t like to do that. And I see why
Very informative video. Many things you did I've seen you do many times watching your channel. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Nice work Curtis.
Thanks!
Good work Curtis
Thanks
You have helped me so much. Tremendously. I have an electrician background and electronics. I’m learning or trying to learn the HVAC field thank you!
Glad to help
Nicely done Curtis.
Thanks
Great job 👍👍👍
Thanks 👍
To stop the blower. Would it not be safer to pull the common off the fan board
I look forward to every new video you make. Always something new and interesting. My favorite hvac channel on the tube.
Wow, thanks!

I do combustion test if it’s a regular furnace on a split system when I can’t really see the exchanger, yes
What bag are you using?
I myself don't like Goodman equipment if ya just start the burner screws it helps to align the fuel rail . Rheem man myself . Enjoy the videos
Not a fan of home warranties but understand some homeowners must choose that route.
15yr daughter just got done cleaning 20 plus year evap coil. What a mess.
15? Wow
@@HVACGUY she's on my channel doing g it.

True

Didn’t know that
Nice preventive service work Curtis, so now these owners will have reliable A/C and heating until their next service is performed 👍 Au
You're using a Klein nut driver, they are known to loose the magnet. Ive had to replace two of them.
Why would you not want to have pre-scheduled plan maintenance?
How many calls you do a day?
8 on a busy day.
Curtis I always like how you show every step, even mistakes and own up to it. Most techs would be like, "Oh and you needed a new roll out sensor" on the bill.
Nice maintenance Curtis ( except for breaking the roll out). Always good to check that the limits are working correctly.👍👍🇨🇦
Very true!
I bet that heater stunk up the house

Split system
Curtis i have learned over the years to never use the words Preventative Maintenance. We use Maintenance checkup.
How about “tune-up”
Hello Curtis, do you think they would be needing heat @ this time😂. To try it with the the rollout fine but it is still hot
It is better to have peace of mind that everything's working as should, then wait and have it fail when it's cold
😊😊👍👍
Good Sir. How come you never tell us your first name at your intro?
I believe it's Curtis
@@cardsfan1590 thanks
