I would've been pleasantly surprised if Tom Hanks were the lead........ I bet that movie would've been much more dept and emotions...still comedy but subtle
Its such a shame that Tim Allen had to go through all of that for the role. He was perfect for it though. No one else couldve done it better than him. Its such a blessing he agreed to do the sequels. The Santa Claus Trilogy, Elf, and the original Miracle on 34th Street are the only live action Christmas movies I watch every single year.
yes we watch the same christmas movies as you do every year and have been now since they first came out christmas just would not be christmas without them and still enjoy another i watch is jim carreys scrooge by disney
Here's another fact, Tim Allen was not the original choice to play Scott Calvin, the first two original choices were Bill Murray and Chevy Chase, both actors declined the role due to Chase dropping out due to creative differences, and Murray did not want to do another holiday-themed film after doing Scrooged (1988). At one point, Tom Hanks, Robin Williams, Mel Gibson and Tom Selleck were offered the role. I'm glad we ended up seeing Tim Allen as Scott Calvin because none of the different actors who were considered would seem like they would fit the character
I hadn't heard of any of these behind the scenes. Interesting. I liked all three movies but the first one was the best. The stories in the other two seemed like they were pushed or forced, for lack of a better phrase.
I find it strange that with this movie's "small" budget, the filmmakers were able to implement 12 fully animatronic reindeer consisting of 18 people operating all the reindeer, yet they need two guys to push up the North Pole to make it look like it's rising.
Tim Allen was great Santa. For all of the 3 movies. Tim Allen really plays Santa role very well. Welldone Tim Allen. And the makeup looks 100% real. 😱😱😱🤔🤨😐😀😀😀👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
This makes me sad that is was so stressful for Mr. Allen to make the film. I absolutely LOVE the movie series! I understand as to why though. So childhood, NOT ruined😂
Another Fun Fact: In the first movie of the franchise, Scott didn’t actually kill Santa. Santa fell off the roof because it was his plan and also because he was retiring.
Fun Fact Films I love this movie, but me and my younger brother (he’s 16) always wished they went with the more adult one, just to see what it would be like
Fun Fact Films yeah. It is a great movie though. In my opinion, more movies with Santa Claus as the main character would be awesome. I love to hear and see how other people picture the guy. The Christmas Chronicles has Kurt Russel as Santa, and it is on my watch list. I’ve heard it’s good. I might watch it tonight.
I love this movie and always will, I couldn't see Tom hanks or anyone else play that role as well as Tim Allen did, he's great

The santa clause is a classic

Agreed!
At the time of The Santa Clause, Tim Allen was starring in the ABC sitcom Home Improvement which ended in 1999. So, he was busy doing that show
Tim Allen is a great and funny guy and was a good choice for this role :p
True
Bill Murray, Chevy Chase, Robin Williams, Michael Keaton, Tom Selleck and Tom Hanks were also in the running for the role.
I find it strange that with this movie's "small" budget, the filmmakers were able to implement 12 fully animatronic reindeer consisting of 18 people operating all the reindeer, yet they need two guys to push up the North Pole to make it look like it's rising.
I love these films. My favourites (and my mom's) "you couldn't"
Tim Allen was great Santa.
For all of the 3 movies.
Tim Allen really plays Santa role very well.
Welldone Tim Allen.
And the makeup looks 100% real.
😱😱😱🤔🤨😐😀😀😀👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
So you are telling me that there is a longer, better version of my favorite christmas movie buried in disney's vault?
Did we all look past Santa dying from a work related mishap on a job he does a billion times in one night year after year?
Can you do a video about Lampoons Christmas Vacation?
It seems a lot of people started spelling Santa Claus with an E at the end after this movie was released.
This was my ultimate favourite Christmas film as a child!
my favorite is Santa clause 2
I decided not to realize that the Tim Allen The Santa Clause videos were better than Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas at all.
This one was the only one that I liked from the santa clause movies
Great family friendly Christmas movie!
The Santa Claus and The Grinch (2000) are the best!

I own the Santa Claus 1 and 2 on dvd I didn’t know to get into the Santa Claus charctor Tim Allen had to wear a 40 pound fat suit
The movie was shot in my hometown. Pretty wild walking down the street and seeing where Tim Allen once walked in a fat suit.

Yay I love Disney
I always hated Santa clause but I like this video
Edit: wow thanks for the ❤️!!
Another Fun Fact: In the first movie of the franchise, Scott didn’t actually kill Santa. Santa fell off the roof because it was his plan and also because he was retiring.
Great video
Thanks Howdy!
Fun Fact Films I love this movie, but me and my younger brother (he’s 16) always wished they went with the more adult one, just to see what it would be like
Lol. That’d be quite a change wouldn’t it. :)

I’ve been hearing about The Christmas Chronicles as well. It is interesting to see different takes on the same character.
merry christmas
Merry Christmas!
The snow is fake because the snow flopped up when Santa fell so the snow is fake U>U
If Tom Hanks was gonna be the Santa Claus Now we know why there's a Santa woody doll
Can you do a on back to the future please
1:26...pause it and look in the top left corner...you wanna talk about fake snow?!?!?! 😆
Am I the only one who likes the Jack Frost Santa Clause the best?
So, all Charlie wanted for Christmas were his two front teeth?
Nice!

Behind the scenes of the wizard of oz
Hasn’t been a Santa Claus movie since miracle on 34 street??
I can think of one
Successful one since
Could you do Rudolph?
Rudolph is coming soon
Can u do behind the scenes of the hobbit
Tim Allen was the best choice,
agree, it would've been less slapstick humor and more emotional humor....maybe even with a romantic lovestory
Can you please talk about mighty Morphin power rangers the movie and top 12facts
Can you do toy story?
I’ll add another tally to the list for it. Thx!
Fun Fact Films Np

Because he is Buzz Lightyear
Oh Tim Allen plays buzz
How do you know all this stuff??? It's interesting and all but how do you know all this
I spend time researching reputable sources on the internet and finding interviews, etc, etc.
gocha ok interesting
Their is two Santa suits
Hi
He also wasn't probable because he got arrested for drug charges once
that was way in his past when he was still in college..........
Do riverdale
Tom Hanks would've been a better choice... for anything!
Disagreed
Im glad tom hanks didnt get it
Unfortunately they did not one but two sequels
Ya, there’s a noticeable difference between the first and the rest.
Did he actually die
Hello
