Something that noticed was missing from the "what if" packing plans, RAIN GEAR. It rained hard core in Paris during the 2024 Olympic opening ceremonies. I'd love to see a follow-up video talking about lessons learned/regrets with reguard to weather. What did you do to compensate, what would you have done differently?
Love this! I had to pack for a 4-day work conference in Paris + Venice film festival premier in a personal item only. Still proud to have pulled that one off. 😂
Oh, I wish I'd seen this before packing and going to Paris 2024 olympics! Having 3 traveling days (from Finland to Germany to Paris and back to Finland), only 1 day "in between" and 4 days of The Games, this would have been helpful. But I hope there are more trips to come😅 Thanks for your videos!❤
Now your separation of days makes more sense to me given the really different events you experienced! What a great trip and 2 Eras concerts!!! I’m a bit jelly over that. Lol. What a great outfit you planned! I’m glad I’m not the only grown woman who can still act like a 12 year old when the occasion calls for it 😂😊❤
Very helpful, thank you. A video on packing toiletries and makeup would be so useful because it’s so hard to pare down and also depends on destination. In Europe it’s easy to buy stuff but Africa or Indonesia not so much! Gets confusing!
Love all your outfits! What are you typically using to wash items on the go? I've been doing the sink + laundry detergent sheet but wondering if you're sending out for laundry typically? We paid for a laundry service in Thailand and Patagonia because it was inexpensive (+ we had 4 day trek/hiking clothes in Patagonia and I didn't trust myself to fully wash those in a sink).
It totally depends on our length of stay and cost! If we're in a long stay Airbnb we'll usually find a local laundromat. If it's a couple nights in a hotel, we'll hand wash with detergent sheets!
What brand of carry on suitcase do you recommend? I’m packing for a 10 day biking trip that requires “ smart clothing for evening” and three days of just touring days! ( every day clothes)Yikes can I do that with carry on!
Weight, size and content of cabin bag restrictions when flying out of the UK are so much stricter. Recently flew from UK to Paphos for a 10 day holiday and my daughter’s wedding. Our cabin bag could not exceed 10kg. I made sure that I’d packed everything for the wedding plus a bikinis vest top, a sarong and spare underwear - all in packing cubes, which are amazing - as emergency supplies, carried my 1litre bag for small liquid items in my personal item plus iPad, phone, chargers etc, but there’s no way I could have travelled with just my cabin bag. For one thing, I Needed a plentiful supply of sun lotion and there’s no way that all of that could go in the 1 litre bag allowed - and didn’t want to have to buy it there because it’s so expensive and the brand I use wouldn’t be available. I watch these videos in awe, but know that for most people travelling out of the UK, it would only work if you were only going for a few days. The weight for our checked luggage was 20kg, so my total allowance was 30kg and I managed to get 9kg in my cabin bag and 16kg in my checked bag so my total was 23kg. Similar to what you achieved, but had to go in two cases 🙄
I am really surprised you didn’t pack more shorts and tanks. In Europe in the summer it can be so hot and they don’t do ac like we do in the states. Just curious if you have any regrets about what you packed for this trip?
Hi, new here. So according to your 3 categories of days, plus your “what if” additions, this should be able to get you through any trip from 5 days up to what, 2 weeks? I am so eager to try this method out!
Your videos are so inspiring! I’ve already learned a lot and I’m looking forward to try your method for my very next trip. I’ve been traveling for work for more than 15 years and packing is always a struggle even in a checked in bag. I have fancy work clothes mostly but also a lot of camera gear (DSLR, batteries, external monitor, microphones, headset… ) as I’m filming for our RUclips channel. Would you consider making a video to help me out?
Hi! Hope you loved your trip. You mentioned merino wool shirt. I’d really like to find a couple of classic t-shirts and long sleeved merino wool tops. Not logo’d but ones I can dress up with cute shoes, or wear with my leggings on a more athletic day. Any recommendations on merino brands you love? Also, thoughts on merino blends? I love to pack VERY light so really want some merino in my wardrobe. Thank you!!!
Love your videos… HATE the outside unsecured POCKET you slipped your passport into. Also, pairdown your cosmetics into tiny tiny zip locks. Get a travel curling iron and bam youre good!
Hi - thanks for your great videos. How would you scale this up for a four week winter holiday in Europe; and two days stopover in a tropical country on the way home? Would be grateful for any tips please. We don’t need to do carryon only.
You're going to want to focus heavily on your cold weather items as these take up more space! Try to incorporate your 2-day tropical stop items into your Travel Day. Bring a sarong as your in-seat blanket that can double as a beach coverup. Layer a tank top under a sweater to wear once you're in your tropical destination! Hope this helps!
Amazing trip! You mentioned washing clothes to extend your outfits. Would you typically hand wash and hang dry in your room or use hotel laundry? If you hand wash, what detergent do you travel with?
If we're in a hotel stay long enough, we'll just hand wash so that everything has time to dry! I like these detergent sheets so that you don't have to worry about another liquid: amzn.to/3X1oRqS

ooo, like what we should have packed!
@@TrippedTravelGear Yep. Allow all of us to learn from your pain.

@@TrippedTravelGearthanks! Love your videos!!
Thanks for sharing, I love watching your videos, they are so helpful!!
🫶made my day!🫶
I'm really hoping to use this method when we go to the Christmas markets this year. I love to see the method in use, so thank you for sharing!
Great time to try it out!
This is a great system! Thanks for explaining it.
Love your videos!! And just bought the packing cubes for my Greece trip next month!!
Aw thanks so much! Enjoy your trip!!
Also, what white sneakers are those? Super cute!!
I'd like to see you pack the cubes into soft sided luggage (not clam shell design) to see if you can get everything to fit equally as well.
Compression Cubes help with fitting into any size or material of suitcase!

With big events like a wedding, there is always more to pack! Sounds like you still did a great job packing the essentials!

Totally up to preference! No regrets about this packing (:
Great video. Can you please make a video of packing for Alaska Cruise with the 3 days method?
Great idea!

Yes! Packing for just these 3 days, plus what if items, will get you through any length of trip!

is the snake sigil to remind you to hate Pharoah?
What was the name of your personal tote bag? I didn't catch that. Love your videos. Thank you!
It was a thrifted Hermes find from our trip to Tokyo!
We are going to Europe in a month. What suitcase do you recommend? 56 x 45 x 25 cm / 22 x 18 x 10 in (max 10kg / 22lbs) is our limit, YIKES!!

I have several prescription meds to take traveling to Italy. Do you know if they have to be in the original bottles?
It is recommended to just in case, but not mandatory!
