Beautiful plane and flight. I'm amazed at the longitudinal fuselage strength of these planes with so much rubber tension.
Beautiful giant rubber model with an excellent flight. I wish to see more of these model airplanes promoting the category.
Thank you very much for showing such a beautiful video.
Thanks for documenting these awesome models over the years Tom, without you I would never have had a chance to see some of the best Rubber Scale has had to offer over the years. That was breathtaking. What a classy guy Bob was, RIP.
Wow !! Very impressive, a beautiful looking aircraft and a skilful bit of construction.
Bob lives on, beautiful plane!

High technology craft man. 🤗🤗🤗
Wow .. magnificent. I've seen a lot of Rearwin Speedsters in my day, FF, CL, RC .. etc. Generally, I see them painted up green/yellow with scallops on the wings, but this was a real beauty .. and flies great. Thanks for sharing!

Hello Bob:
First of all, congratulations for the great work you did with that great rubber band plane, I would like to know with what material you covered the plane and what kind of paint you used to achieve that great finished ?. Thanks, are there plans available?
Antonio Sandoval model tissue, nitrate dope, and no paint
Antonio Sandoval plans can possibly be found from: outerzone.co.uk/
Fantastic, just ad some super-lightweight servo's and it lands before your feet. ;-)
that is just what i was thinkming
Fantastic Sir
Marvellous
Biggest ive seen, flies really great, get nervous watching this, all that time and effort invested in building it and no control🤪
Ah. But that's the beauty of it. He did have some control of the flight by the way he built it.
Fantastic!
love it
GRRRREAT Flight!!
My dream is to make a 3/4 scale piper cub rubber powered model. That would be approximately 20 ft. wingspan
Wow indeed
How much does it weigh? What's the wing loading? Thanks
Are there any plans or drawings for this thing. If anyone knew Bob and can point me in the right direction I would really appreciate any info you might have, It was filmed in '96 so somebody gots ta have the 411. Thanks, Great channel.
Nice!!
WOW. That's definitely not your little girls rubberband airplane!
wow wow
that was assome , what size /scale /kit was that. ( with my luck it was scatch built ) but you guys are masters so i don't mind ...
might i recommend a tripod for these videos of yours? You have a steady hand but still... you'll be pleased with the results immediately.
That would have come right up off the ground!
Rubber bands how many are there ? Just one long one. All day winding it up for one flight.
See the description to find out more. Rubber-powered free flight is not very expensive and a lot of fun. We have geared winders to speed up winding.
Rubber power to the people.
Always wondered why ff'ers generally stick to smallish models, other than for contest flying regulations.
I understand that the point of free flight is just that, flight without any assistance from the ground. I further understand how difficult it is to build, trim, and set up these airplanes and I admire those who do so. However, I would never build such a magnificent airplane as this and just let it go where it will. Short of having many dozen acres of clear, treeless land to fly it on, I would set it up for R/C assist by installing a small receiver and servo connected to the rudder only to keep it within reasonable boundaries, nothing to improve the flight or to deliberately fly it into a thermal, I get that crucial part of the sport, but just to prevent a flyaway in a thermal, or flight into trees, or onto a highway, etc, which is likely to destroy the precious airplane.
Additionally, expending the time and energy of long retrievals seems a waste of a good flying day's time and unnecessary wear and tear on my poor, rapidly-aging body.
im actually thinking about if it is possible to make a plane people fly in using rubber bands
Ima start my plan soon
H
What a total waste of time....rc it
You make the no have good to say. Need for you make control all time like no rent pay maammas' basement living hahahahahahah!!!!
