meanwhile, Eighties themes're neverending --- New Year's Day '73 was when corporate mastery took to gloating over cultural affairs; I'd become one mightily pissed-off 6-year-old, realizing how mirky corporate zeal truly is...Eighties symbolized the advent of corporate triumph itself though, e.g. :brrrRrr:

I always loved the way ida, Brenda and rhoda were so close to each other. They could argue and drive each other crazy, but at the end of the day, you know they loved each other to death, and would do anything for each other. That’s what real family is. Ida was like a force of nature. Great moms are the glue that keep a family together. Once they’re gone you realize just how much they did for you, how much they cared, and how much you miss them.

Those adhesive tiles were popular in the 1970s, and were mainly crap. My parents put such tile on their kitchen floor (1976) when I was in 9th grade, and about 2 years later some of those tiles were becoming loose. They were thick and white, with pastel blue designs, and felt like ceramic, but weren't. Now days they are probably made better. This episode was okay, not the usual hilarity. I wish Johnny were on more eps. He was cute.Sometimes Ida acts childish concerning her husband. She ought to be used to him. I can't imagine her as a cheerleader in high school, either.
