Jason, I very much enjoyed you giving a short history lesson and tour of the Whisky a Go Go in this tour diary. I’ve never been to Hollywood, but I’ve always been fascinated about the venue since so many of my favorite bands have either gotten started or performed regularly at the Whisky. Stephen Pearcy sounds phenomenal live. It was also cool to see Whit Hertford at this show. I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve seen the music video for Lay It Down on MTV Classic. Great content as always.

@@stevedamien638 I think my two favorite guitars I've ever owned, the first one was a charvel phase 3, And a Jackson dinky 2, but I did own an Ibanez RG 470 that was custom airbrushed that was awesome, but I will say this I think the Ibanez has deeper tone, but I will say I'm not an expert on guitars.

I believe this is the first-ever behind-the-scenes of Whiskey A Go Go and its brief history that has been shown on YT. It feels real - Thanks for that. Johnny M. has the chops for playing the Ratt tunes - kudos to him. Continue your journey and be safe doing so and keep us informed.
Crue was at 1140 apt 205 which is the correct address. People always get this wrong.

Pearcy can't sing to save his life. Can't get anyone from the original Ratt to play with him anymore. The bass player just stands there like a statue. God awful. His band are mediocre at best. Retire already SP.
Hmmm. If you’re going to go out and play in your 60s then you should probably sing in key. Steven was never a great singer but man….. this is rough.
I used to love "The Whisky"- I do not know why I always got a primo table in the balcony. Loved the place as a teenager. God bless them.

So cool really amazing RATT takes me back all those great summer nights with these kind of songs either in the distance or near by it was all part of the atmosphere it is such a great place to be and I wouldn't trade it for the world. My brother put it well when he said "It is like we are trapped in this time and the time machine we came in cannot get us back"

I loved ratts studio albums. I saw them in Fayetteville n.c. while i was in the army. Bon jovi opened for them.
There is nothing more awesome and peaceful and full of anticipation than load in afternoon….in an empty club. There is a mood and a vibration of excitement. Plus, Jake owes me $200 from a canceled Covid gig 😀

Great memories of the hair metal days back in Hollyweird. I saw Ratt many times and loved Pearcy in those day's....but like a lot of vocalists from those days he should've quit long ago. You couldn't pay me to listen to him now.. I miss Crosby though... great guy taken far too soon.

In The Dirt they made it sound like the apartment was a slum with barely indoor plumbing but in reality it's a nice place and excellent location. They did a Return to the Motley House documentary several years back and it was nice inside.
However when Johnny plays guitar his demeanor changes

When I lived in Los Angeles in the 1990s, I played at the Whisky and the Viper Room almost every weekend. It was some great times even in the 1990s.
