Uh.. Alex Ross, Neal Adams, José Luis García-López, George Perez, Marshall Rogers (with Terry Austin inks), etc., etc.. Curt Swan, Carmine Infantino, and Joe Kubert if you wanna go really old-school.
DC has "representative" artists for each decade.
DC's best move was dumping DiDio and Johns, and making Jim Lee sole publisher.

That's from a beautifl documentary of the life and art of Jim lee. I still love that documentary :)
I never knew this, he developed his anatomically correct drawing as a medical student, in a book I read about him in 2005
His anatomy look like basic John Byrne to me. But one of my favorite comic artist is Jack Sparling who did cover paintings and interior art for Gold Key's The Mighty Sampson, so what do I know.
His art works on the comics is very stylized and totally unique!

@@garycannon4644 I know him. Too.. Lol but according to me Jim Lee is revolutionary for DC like stan Lee was for Marvel.
I'm 72 now and when I was growing up (In the 60') the upmost to me in any story was the art! And for that reason, at that time it was Marvel comic art that was on top. It all seems to have reversed as I look at Marvel today. What I noticed is the superior art has not change, just the place it's being produced at! New Subscriber!
He has to be one of my favourite artists, Greg Capullo along with him.

I even remember the name of his first wife. I remember him writing about his first born in the fan letters section of the WildC.A.Ts comics titled “Call of the Wild” lol.

I thought Jim copied Todd McFarlane at first. It was the 90’s. (See X-Men).
However Jim’s style matured into what it is now, which is my favorite. He has inspired others in the medium to copy HIS style.
I often wonder as an Asian American if Jim Lee was ever exposed to 무협 literature as a child. Would explain a bit about his worldbuilding.

Not a fan of Jim Lee. Not that very dynamic and it all looks the same. It lacks character. Artist like Joe Mad and Humberto Ramos is more like art than comics but not Jim Lee.

Humberto Ramos has a style similar to Todd Nauck, in that it's more cartoony, Jim Lee style is more realistic.
