It’s not trying to be Invincible. And not trying to be “kid friendly”. It realizes its audience is probably adults who like fun things but also have a thirst Tumblr 😅
Not saying that it’s a bad thing but have you seen Clark’s fight with Omni girl, errr Kara?
It's rated TV-PG, has enough action to not be considered too kid-friendly, but it's not hyper-violence like other shows nowadays. It's a nice change of pace to see a more PG and hopeful Superman show that can be enjoyed by both adults and kids. The past decade has kind of depraved us of seeing this side of Superman.

I wouldn't be surprise if it 100% is a homage to Ramiel since this show owes a lot of its style to japanese anime (other than the obvious Dragonball references)

Pretty much like the comics, at first he's a Super Man. But now he's the Superman we know with the extra powers.
And with a more unique twist on his backstory, him being afraid of his heritage and slowly accepting it.

In the comics, in his first time as Superman, he’s so op, that nothing without krytonite, magic and radiation could hurt him. This animated makes Superman vulnerable to anything because it could make the show interesting. Just as Superman animated series.

Superman's powers follow a certain logic such as heat vision, which is the solar energy that he absorbs and expels through his eyes, or freezing breath, which is explained because his lungs compress the inhaled air and after exhaling it, the sudden increase in volume. of gas causes its temperature to drop drastically, known as the Joule-Thomson effect. Therefore... shouldn't Superman have a sonic scream because of his very powerful vocal cords and lungs? I mean... he already has a lot of powers but he could have more using the already established logic of the character without having to invent completely different ones like in the comics.
He can amplify his voice to extreme levels to cause destruction, not sure. if that can be called sonic scream tho

I love how every wall in a superhero show looks like it could withstand a nuclear explosion. Superman slams into it and knocks a chunk away but there’s still 3 feet of wall to go.
I love how instead of having all his powers outright, he actually has to unlock them.

Batman's enemies are a foil to him because they had One Bad Day and think that entitles them to take what they want.
Superman's enemies are foil to him because their powers were a gift that they use to set themselves apart from their fellow men rather than support humanity.
Every villain in this show is tech based, they trying to do smth with it im sure.
kinda they're becoming actual metas as the series goes on as the consequences of their actions are catching up to them.
His worst enemy is just a human with money and/or a genius. You can do the selfish power tripping either way. It doesn't have to be metas.

This series is proving to be better than I thought it would. Just goes to show, never judge a book by its cover or the first couple of episodes in this case.

Yeah, except every person that got flash frozen except Supes is dead. Like, every cell in their body was ripped to shreds by microscopic ice crystals.
Even if the ice just 'gently grew around them', many of them probably suffocated, were crushed or got severe hypothermia.
