Works fine for me. Sometimes to install drivers for bootloader correctly you need to try another usb cable

So, will my files stay or I have to take backup. And last question, I fear what if my phone got bricked. What should I do. I want root desperately.

Yeah I checked with root checker app and I showed it was rooted.
Now, I switched to a custom ROM. When I check root access in rootchecker app now, it shows "root access is not properly installed in this device".
So switching to a custom ROM will unroot the device, brother?

Those who want keep getting OTA updates after root... try installing magisk's zip file through TWRP recovery you should be able to update your phone without any problems..
