0:50 Interesting to see the amount of wear on the trem of that Majesty. Recently a guy was having this problem on his Majesty, then he posted on the EBMM forums... and the moderator simply closed the thread. EBMM makes great instruments, but their forum is cramped with morons & fanbois.
indeed, I usually posted stuff but the members are boring to death (they just collect instruments, barely play them) and praise everything the brand does. I once made a comment about some colors that were awful and even the CEO (Big Poppa) attacked me. Never posted again.
Actually, he is. In a Mesa interview, JP said that all gear decisions are done with matty's review and approval and in some specific area, gear-wise, he's even more involved than JP in the process. Almost 15 years as his tech. The guy is JP sidekick.
Travis Thompson I can't tell (I have an Axe FX and a Mark V and I cannot tell the difference). That said - I was joking. If JP says he's using Mesa amps and the Axe FX is for FX only I believe him. There was a video of JP playing through a Roland practice amp somewhere and he sounded awesome through that, so... The man is a Tone Machine!
interviewer is annoying. always interrupting. let the man talk and you will have your upcoming questions answered!
Is true!
So remember; the tech DOES NOT do the switching! haha
Best rig ever?
+Rick Feith Nope, the effects rack with the TC/Eventides/Lexicons was the best effects setup. New amps are awesome though.
16:33 Is that the chalice from which Petrucci drinks the blood of lesser guitarists?
Annoying interviewer...
bei 4:35 läuft der gute john schon in hintergrund rum ^^
This dude literally interrupts Maddi in every sentence.
Lol they kinda copied premier guitar literally still using the term "rig rundown"
That interviewer does that on every single interview he does... it's starting to get really annoying
He asks if a guy who is a Mesa endorser has thought about using the AxeFX or Kemper for his amp sounds. What answer was he expecting?

Exactly. This got me so pissed I even sold all my EBMMs, now I'm a happy Suhr customer.
New amps are awesome....but I miss the TC/Eventide/Lexicon racks the most.
The interview really needs to learn how to listen, and not interrupt.
Das Konzert war genial! Mega Sound, allerdings war James nicht so gut.
"We went for it"? We?? As if he would be part of that decision... 🙄

Who would've thought...
+Berta Griese ill be dammed..
Echt cool..Wusste nicht dass ihr rig rundown macht, weiter so!
bringt mal mehr rig rundowns
Such a dream rig!
Thank you for posting this :)
Is the interviewer drunk? Holy shit.
Hi I'd few questions before the ultex jp signature pick, which jazz iii xl or smaller one was john using ? And now is he using the ultex or primetone?
Maddi's like the guardian of god's instruments.. And john is like Zeus with guitar
Ich fand Petruccis Sound zu Ibanez Zeiten um einiges geiler
jp16 has sonic ecstasy pickup not illuminator
Got backstage few days ago to see the rig up close and met Maddie, The nicest guy totally willing to just talk and answer questions.
Too bad that he's not mentionning details about the 4 delay settings we see on the pedalboard ...
Sehr cool, vielen Dank!
Gerne mehr rig rundowns :)
it is tidy, it is clean, i´m german and i like it :>
4:03 looks like a kid in a candy store.
Schönes ding! Ruhig mehr davon.
Awesome rig!
Very cool!
9 guitars :-o
His rig is amazing! I looked it up and it's smoked ebony on the JP16!
+BrandonofRedemption I love smoked ebony, tastes so good.
can u guys make sure the interviewer is not on hopped up on speed before the interview? thx
κκαλιμρα
Annoying interviewer, huh? Well that's Germany for ya...
John is so lucky I bet he don't even buy that stuff
I don't believe it about the tube amps. JP has been using the AXE-FX secretly for years now for *ALL HIS TONE*
:D
He could do that, but he is loyal to Boogies.
Lol you can tell just by listening to all his recordings that it's 100% Boogie
Travis Thompson I can't tell (I have an Axe FX and a Mark V and I cannot tell the difference).

He only use the Axe FX for processing. The tone is all amp (and a bit of OD when he has it on)
Why would they care to take all those Boogie amps if they're not using them? Shit's heavy as fuck.
Maddi Scheiferstein, perhaps the world's most braniest techie technician in the world
