First of all, I have to say that only the drive, RAM, and wireless card can be replaced in that model. The CPU is soldered to the board, and you need an infrared rework station to replace it. It's an extremely complex process, and considering the price of a new CPU, it will cost more than that laptop. 8GB RAM is the maximum supported by that model. The SSD model that you provided is a pretty good option. Go with it. You'll definitely notice the difference in performance; it will be like a brand new laptop. Just set virtual RAM memory to something around 16GB. I have a video about upgrading old laptops' RAM vs SSD and how to set virtual RAM, or you can simply Google it. The easiest way to transfer your data is via a USB drive, then clean install Windows on a new SSD, and finally copy your data back from the USB drive. You can also clone your old system into the new SSD, but performance-wise, it's not the best option to clone the old system from HDD to a USB. As for the Lenovo, I'd first reset the BIOS to defaults, reinstall Windows, and then install fresh drivers and BIOS firmware. Most likely, it will fix the problem.

8GB of RAM will make it more comfortable and if you replace your HDD with an SSD drive you'll definitely notice the difference. But if you can buy a new laptop then I don't recommend upgrading it.

What's the model of your laptop? Maybe there's an SSD instead of HDD.
@ElectronicsComputers inspiron 15 3000
can i upgrade the cpu in this laptop?
Technically it's possible but requires infrared rework station to replace it. Or you can go to a repair shop and ask them to replace it but this laptop is not worth it.
Can we install M.2 SSD
Only using M.2 to SATA 2.5" adapter. I have a video on that too.
Sir. What does it mean when I got in the same place when you turn on the laptop? Mine was something about "Invalid configuration settings"
"Time of day not set"
Is it thr motherboard? :
It's totally normal, if you disconnect the battery the BIOS settings will be set to the default and it will also reset the time.
@@ElectronicsComputers so nothings wrong here? Sorry for asking sir. I dont have anywhere to ask this to
Bro, do a video on how to adjust the lap hinge pls
Slightly tighten the nut on the hinge with some pliers.
@@ElectronicsComputers i removed but i dont know how to adjust the nut bro. It seems like need to remove display cover to adjust the nut
Thanks for the video bro ... ❤
Can we use both ssd and hardisk ... Ssd for os and hdd for data storage is it compatible to fit both in this
You,re welcome! You can't physically add a second drive to that laptop. There's only one SATA connector for a 2.5" HDD/SSD and there's no an M.2 slot for NVMe or NGFF SSD.
I did add ssd and hdd. I only used a caddy and replaced the dvd so that I can have an ssd and hdd at the same time.
I also have a question though. Is it possible to upgrade the cpu of the laptop? I know the graphics card cannot be upgraded but how about cpu? Thank you very much!
If I put SATA SSD in my laptops can I go for 1tb instead of 500 gigs?
Sure! You can upgrade it to maximum available 2.5" SSD on the market which is 8TB at the moment.
i have dell inspiron 15 3000 with AMD processor , is it possible to change the processor ?
nowadays all CPUs are soldered to the motherboard and without special equipment it's impossible to replace them.
does it support m.2 sata ssd?
You can replace the HDD with an M.2 NGFF SSD but in that case you need M.2 to
SATA 2.5" adapter. Like in this video:

Is it possible to upgrade CPU from i5 to i7 on this laptop ??
Technically yes but you need an infrared rework station to do that. CPUs are not user replaceable like it was 10 year ago.
My laptop
Dell i3 8th gen.
I want to install a ssd hard in my laptop..
Is it possible to install an SSD when there is a hard disk and a DVD Rom?
Is there a nvme port here?
What's the exact model of your laptop?
Dose your Inspiron 15 3000 has intel core i3
That was a client's laptop I didn't check its specs. That model comes with different CPUs.
Ok sir
Mine has a intel i3 which is Very slow
@@b.himamshurao2043 This laptop is pretty good for office or study task no more. With an SSD drive and 8-16GB of RAM it's no that bad.
I ordered the Intel 9260 wifi card for my Dell Inspiron 15 3573 and I am not able to get the laptop to detect the wifi but it works with the bluetooth just fine. I put the card in another laptop and it works fine so I know the card is ok. Any tips on how you got the 9260 card to work in this laptop?
When you go to Device manager can you see new unrecognized device or something like that? Also try to update your BIOS to the latest version and try to install Intel's drivers for that adapter.
@@ElectronicsComputers no it doesn't show up in device manager at all. I have an Intel 8265 and it does the same thing, Bluetooth and no wifi. Bios is on 1.8.0 which is the latest. When I swap the factory card back in it works every time. I work in IT so I'm not new to this stuff but I just can't figure out why this isn't being detected.
Hello I have dell vostro 15 3000 series 45173/SDPP/20165100 with upgraded ram to 16g (8 x 2). Now i want to mount a ssd instead of hdd. Which model I have to buy? Thank you
I recommend using one of these SSDs:
Crucial MX500 2.5" SATA: amzn.to/38j1xvI
Samsung 860 EVO 2.5" SATA: amzn.to/363x6qX
SAMSUNG 870 QVO : amzn.to/3dSx76H
@@ElectronicsComputers can I use a Kingston of 500g?
Can I use nvme samsung 970 pro ssd in this laptop without removing hdd ?
No! it's impossible there's even no a socket for M.2 SSD. Actually you can replace HDD with an M.2 NGFF SSD but in that case you need M.2 to SATA 2.5" adapter. Like in this video: ruclips.net/video/i2zLpN-bfk0/видео.html
Good ...
thanks!
Can I put an NVMe ssd on my dell inspiron 15 3000 i3-6006u and will it support 1TB ssd?
you can only use SATA 2.5" SSD
Could you do: How to change the fan and thermal paste of the Asus ROG GL551JW? That would be nice!
I have the exact same laptop, i've upgraded to ssd and planning to upgrade RAM (Replace it since it only has 1 slot), i have an 8GB 2666Mhz DDR4, will it work?
8Gb of RAM is a max for that laptop.
@@ElectronicsComputers Yeah i saw that on the website, but im talking about frequency, will it work if i have a 2666mhz 8gb ram?
@@2flyuwu866 You can install any 2666MHz RAM module but it will work at 2400 MHz speed because that's the frequency that that CPU supports.
@@ElectronicsComputers Thanks!!
What was the write and read speed with the hdd and the ssd?
That was just another customer's laptop with a typical upgrade that we do on a regular basis. I didn't check the speed but it's like 3-4 times faster than HDD.

Can i change graphic card and processor of core i3 (7th gen)to i5 in dell inspirion 15 3009
Technically you can replace CPU but you need a soldering station and a whole bunch of staff including proper skills to do that. CPUs are not user replaceable anymore like it was 10 years ago.
why this laptop have no fan installed?
Because that low power CPU never gets hot.
Hey uh I’m just wondering does the Samsung 860 EVO 500GB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-76E500B/AM) fit the Inspiron 15 3573 ?
Sure! Absolutely perfectly. Good choice it's one of the best SSDs on the market right now.
@@ElectronicsComputers thanks i also asked my friend if it fit and it does and he recommended I get the Samsung 860 EVO in the first place , I needed a new one because mine broke lol. thanks for replying
I am using a dell inspiron 3558 can you please tell if it use ddr3 or 4? and what all i need to get the ram and sdd. it has hdd 1 tb and 4 gb currently. i5 5 gen. and is it worth upgrading. i wanted to add 240 tb ssd or 4+8 gb ram if,,, it allows
Your laptop officially supports maximum 8GB DDR3L-1600 RAM. Your best option is 2 modules by 4Gb. And of course after upgrading your laptop to SSD and 8Gb of RAM, it will be completely different laptop. It really worth it.
hello thank you so much for this video we have the same laptop. and i really understand what to do... my question is how to change the cpu of this laptop.? thank you
That CPU is not user upgradable! It's soldered to the motherboard and you need an infrared rework station to replace it.
Okay thank you so much. 😁 i learned a lot from you.
@@hekaruu happy to help!

can anyone tell me whats the processor of this laptop i have this one too
That model has a bunch of different setups with different CPUs. This particular model in the video has Intel Celeron N4000.

I have a dell 15 3000 series as well, what SSD did you use here?
In my particular case it's Kingston A400 240Gb but you can use absolutely any 2.5" SSD or even M.2 SSD via adapter like this: ruclips.net/video/i2zLpN-bfk0/видео.html
@@ElectronicsComputers Thank You
What means service Tag
Service Tag is a 7-digit code on the bottom of your laptop. Using that code you can get the specs of your laptop, date of manufacture, warranty status etc.

Appreciate your instant reply. thank you......
Windows 11 update available.
Is it good for it or staying windows 10 good for it!!!
Why not if you can get it for free. Also, Windows 10 will reach end of support on October 14, 2025. Which means no safety against viruses and other threats. I like Windows 11, it's a very customizable and feature rich OS.
