Every record ever made should be opened, played and enjoyed. This is my philosophy and that doesn’t mean I’m arrogant enough to suggest you’re wrong, but I’d want to hear such a lavish collection.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that these dozens of OOP sets haven't sold because they are priced about 10x higher than they should be. Classic Chad.
Yeah they are definitely higher but it must be expensive for them to get some of the larger collections. Flying /driving 2-3 employees to somewhere else in the country. Daily Hotel/ food stipends. The gas to the drive the U-Haul back to Kansas etc
Chad has given us some of the best pressings of some of the best albums ever done. I'd rather him be able to keep up his excellent quality, unmatched anywhere else, than to worry about saving a buck.
Some great box sets but one can get many of these in NM condition for a lot less on EBay or Discogs. Many of these are really overpriced. Guess Chad is in no rush to sell them…
Blame EMI/Apple for not re-issuing it. People will pay what they feel is necessary to get what they want, no-one is forcing them to buy it. I wouldn't pay that price. I have it already but the set is fantastic in presentation.
Your vinyl vault prices are ridiculous, even your used classical. Many LPs you have listed for $70-$100 that I can grab from $10 off Discogs NM. It isn't our fault you overpaid for these collections.
It’s very simple jf you don’t want to pay their price then nobody is forcing you to buy them. I have bought a ton of their single albums from the vault and yes they are $5-15 more but they are also the best copies in condition and sound of anything I own or bought else where
Everybody rips on Tom Port for his prices and these are just as bad. Only a chump would pay what Chad is selling these for. I hope the market bottoms out and you guys take the proverbial bath with this crap.

A small fortune in records

It is worth whatever someone is will to pay.
The 1982 Japanese red vinyl series is superior to these pressings and each lp can be had for around $100, except the white album
I bought mine at FYE in Panama City Fl for 259.00
Bought mine for $285 at a small record shop in NH, they actually had 2 - I should have bought both !!
Must be struggling to sell their box sets.

Yup price gouging.Just wait for the 60th anniversary set. Nothing new. Or buy the originals for quite a bit less and the sound is still real nice.
