    Good morning Heidi!🌻
    This addresses most of my issues with the freaking hose! More often than not, my hose is laying in the yard because I really dislike getting that thing back on the hanger without all the twists in it. I love the quick-connect too so I don't have to mess with the hose end threading. And that's a reasonable price just to be rid of the ugly hose hanger!
    Those Aussies are doing some great things! I have a Birdies raised bed on the way and there's a gal who came up with the coolist barrel-shaped compost sifter! Good on ya, Aussies!👍
    Hugs and blessings! 💜

      This made me laugh! That grey hose I was showing, I was leaving it stretched out one way or the other and just pushed off to the side to not be a trip hazard because I not only hated trying to wind it back up, Ain't NOBODY got time for dat!

    This is very similar to the Robo Winder that I bought my husband 18+ years ago. Since then the Robo Winder has gone kaput. I haven't been able to find a reel as good as that machine. This looks like a great comparison. I'm sending the link to Hubz now! He wants a new winder for our rainwater catchment. I look at winding it up as exercise, but he gripes every time he has to wind it by hand. Thanks for the review!! 💚🌞

    I had a 75 foot hose that hubby had hooked up to the porch, to water all my flowers. The next year he bought me a retractable hose reel, and it's awesome. Last year, he bought another to put by the garage. It's a different brand, but I agree with you, it makes it all so much more enjoyable!

    I got one on the Black Friday sale last year. I ❤️ my Hoselink ! JUST make sure you cover the hole where the hose comes out. Because I had birds try to make a nest in there. I had to get the sticks out before using it. So now I just stuff a used clothe towel. I have the cover to protect it too. I would give this product a 9.5 out of 10.

    • @RainCountryHomestead
      @RainCountryHomestead  3 года назад

      Yeah, not cheap but far less to buy from the company than from Amazon. Amazon is currently asking $450 but you can get it from the company for $200. Which, when we put together our own hose reel set up for our rain water, our total investment into parts and pieces came to around that much, possibly more, and it is not an automatic reel nor do I have some of the other nice features

    Oh my Heidi, it's wonderful! I wish so much I could afford to buy you the pretty green cover as a gift. You gave no idea how much your videos mean to me. Your channel is the best!
    I love the hose system. It would really help me! I have major heart issues and have to be careful not to overwork my heart. By the time I pull the length of regular ole hose out I have to rest before watering. When I have to roll it up, It takes me 2-3 times of rolling, resting in between. Afterwards, I have to sit for 30-45 minutes from the fatigue. Watering my flowerbeds is one of my many pleasures though. Of course being almost 70 doesn't help. lol I probably won't be able to afford it on my income, but it is so nice. I'm sure you will get many many years of enjoyment out of it. I'm happy for you.

    • @RainCountryHomestead
      @RainCountryHomestead  3 года назад +1

      Believe me, I do understand but I also know what it costs to set up one's own set up. The one we put together on our own for our rain water set up cost at least that much once we got the hoses and the real and other parts and pieces and though it is a nice set up, it does not automatically wind up, the hoses only equal 75' long instead of 82' and we do not have all the other nice features like a swiveling head on the sprayer. So though it is a lot, it is pretty reasonable for what it is

    I would love something like that for my electrical extension cord needed for my outside tools. Would it work do you think?

    • @RainCountryHomestead

      No, this would not work for that but there are such things for electrical cords. I would think one could replace the hose themselves if needed

    • @RainCountryHomestead
      @RainCountryHomestead  3 года назад +3

      I am not fully following the question. First, there is no need to vacuum seal water in jars All canning US made metal canning lids can be reused for at least vacuum sealing and if in real good condition can be reused for canning.

      The set up we put together on our own for our rain water watering system ended up costing us at least that much but the hose does not automatically retract nor do I have all the other nice little features on it. Also, that total hose length is only 75' not 82' like the Hoselink so I would say it is actually pretty reasonable by comparison

    Is it lead and bp free? So many hoses are not made with safe components which doesn’t make any sense when we are using them to water our food. Looks like you have great pressure with it. I probably would like to hear how it does by end of this season and again next, but I think $500.00 is just too much. Maybe if the price goes down and it holds up over time.

    • @RainCountryHomestead
      @RainCountryHomestead  3 года назад

      I am not sure on that but I would think you should be able to find the information in the link provided in the description box. By the way, if you go to the link I gave, it is $200, NOT $500. You must have looked it up on Amazon instead of going directly to the company

    • @tagladyify
      @tagladyify 3 года назад

      @@RainCountryHomestead ah $200.00 is much better. I read the $500.00 price in a comment bellow and did not realize it was a price from Amazon only. Most often, unless the hose is labeled as “potable,” it can have lead in any metal parts and/or nonfood grade plastics and other materials.

    • @tagladyify
      @tagladyify 3 года назад

      @@RainCountryHomestead I found that out a few years ago when I started noticing hoses labeled as “potable” in a local home center. I thought to myself shouldn’t all hoses be made from food grade materials. I had always just assumed that would be a requirement for garden hoses. The ones labeled “potable” claimed to be lead and bp free. Then reading warnings on some other hoses about not drinking from them because there is lead in the metal parts. I was shocked.
