Jimmy Lewis winner of the kinky hose wet tshirt contest!
😂😂😂😂 Okay you win. Nicely done.
😂😂😂
these hose ain't loyal
Seemed like an easy setup.
Great video! Thank you!!
great products
Great video!
Nice to get free gifts
You need the Rikers Island Pilahose!
Those things look pretty neat. With that and Koven’s air hose reel, I would be set
Yes you would!
I got 2 but different name brand. They are life changing i would never go back!
Which brand did you get?
This guy knows hose!
🤣🤣
Clean set-up and everything works as advertised. I want one!
I may need to get one of these.
I put my Hoselink up a couple months ago. My wife is convinced that I bought her the “Cadillac” of hoses. I’ve got to get me another one for my backyard now!
I agree with your wife
OMG. Same for me..i got tired of replacing hoses so i bought the commercial one..very solid but yup still kinks and if i wound it up in my hand crank device it fit but i couldn't pull it out..maybe too much hose idk..for 4-5 years now i just leave it on the grass..i use it every day..so i started to look for a better device to hold the hose and i came across this product or one exactly like it dont remember now.. i haven't gotten it yet cause wasn't sure if I could do the install..you make it look so easy but what number drill bit did you use?? I'm drilling into stucco and dont want to mess it up. I am also excited to just let it reel itself in!! If you encounter any problems do an update please. Thanks so much.
“The epitome of hose management”. Thanks Jimmy great review.
Great product I love mine makes life so easy
I hate it when I have to pull my hose out....🤔🤔🤣😂
Great review Jimmy!
Awesome product
Agreed!
Im with you. The hose battle is strong in our lawn and garden and I never seem to come out on the winning side. Awesome product!
That's awesome 👍I have seen this around here on the lawn videos and everyone seems to love it and a time saver for sure.
It's easy to love it. Great product.
Love it. May add to add one or two of those to my Fathers day want list.
Is it heavy enough to resist strong wind? We wouldn't want this to move like pinball flippers right?
Hoser!
Awesome! I need one cause I’m tired of the same tangled mess when applying NEXT products. Thanks for the video!
Nice!
Great review! Really happy to see how great your lawn looks after all of the leveling 🌱
Thank you. It's come a long way.
Great review Jimmy. I bit the bullet and bought one a month ago. It’s a life changer for putting down all the liquid products
I noticed you did not mention the price.
Jimmy!!! First the FlowZone and now the HoseLink! You and I are definitely on the same wavelength. 👍🏻
👊
First Aussie 😁. I have (2 )25 metre Hiflow hoselink hose reels . Aussie Aussie Aussie Oi Oi Oi. 🇦🇺
Yeah boi! This company is from your homeland!
Jimmy you can order covers for then in various patterns to protect body from the sun , look up the Hoselink website. 😁
George, good Tuesday evening to you. ☕️☕️🍺🍺😎👊
If I can get that in Canada I’ll definitely be purchasing one...two in the future! Always moving hoses around! Lol , looks ideal for everyone really! 👌🏼
I must say that's really nice.....
I must agree with you.
5K subscribers and counting! Congratulations buddy 👍👊👍!
Yo what up mate! Somewhere Ben Sims is like “told ya so”. Awesome product, love it.
Great review. Been thinking about getting one of these for some time now. Might have to pull the trigger.
Do it! They are on sale currently.
Jimmy Lewis can I screw this into the siding of my house or is it too heavy?
I’ve been wanting one of those . I may ask for one for Christmas .
Brett sucks. Doesn’t hurt to ask I guess
I know the feely man!!💚💚< That is a double green heart sir.
Hope the quality is there because it has parts that can break eventually. Thanks for the video.
Time will tell
First Aussie 😁. Jimmy those hose reel hoses have patented non burst hose endings locking system . Never have had an ending burst off of the tap . 😎👍👍
Put the same thing in my front yard after years of hanging up hose, this new reel is great! Should have got it years ago! You can use a sprinkler though.
I could use a sprinkler, and sometimes do opt for the sprinklers, but if I have time, I enjoy hand watering the lawn. I find it therapeutic.
I’m a big fan of the all rubber hoses made by Sears. I have been using them for years and they are the best IMO. They kink but there is no memory. You unkink them and it’s as good as new. They aren’t so heavy that they are difficult to work with. I still have to deal with hose reels and all that, but as far as hoses go...it’s my favorite.
I had a water powered hose reel. They work for a few years, then they stop winding. They cost is ridiculous for water powered reels.
I looked at several reels like the one you are testing. There were so many I didn’t know which one to go with. I’ll be watching to see how yours holds up.
Thanks. Yes, I'll be using this alot and it will come up in future videos for sure.
been using the same black craftsman hoses for 20 years plus. love them
@@Ransome2501
I've got some old ones myself. One of them spent each summer buried under mulch. It didn't deteriorate at all.
Straya made!!!!
99 problems, but a hose ain’t one! 😎
🌞Looks like a great hose solution. That a 3/4" hose?
Just so happens to have a solution
Seriously though, that worked out well.
I’ve learned that hoses that say “contractor grade” are garbage. I believe I have the same exact one. The ends look like metal, but are plastic and crack. Hope to see a follow up on this new one to see how you end up liking it.
Totally agree. Definitely planning follow up videos.
Did you mount that on stucco? Did it hold up well?
Here it’s mounted on concrete. I have other videos where it’s mounted on a 4x6 post. Holds up great. No issues.
What about when winter is coming and draining the hose and taking it inside for storage until spring? Do you take the whole reel off the wall to do that? How hard/easy is that to do? Also, why the odd length of 82 feet? Why not 100 feet?
Great points. You can drain the hose pretty easily when it's fully extended. And the reel lifts off the bracket very easily. There is even a handle on the top rear portion of the reel housing to help with that. Also, it's 82' because the company is based in Australia. 82' = 25 meters. I'm hearing there is possibility of a longer hose option in the future though.
@@JimmyLewisMows Is this 3/4? or useless 5/8" hose?
I've never taken a hose inside. I just drain it and leave it outside. Never had a problem.
@@07SATS Looks 5/8. I can't use it.
@@07SATS even worse 1/2" I'm returning mine, half the flow of my 3/4"
That thing look killer! .... also just sent ya an email with a PGR question. Thx in advance 👍🏼🌱
Thanks for the reply, I sent one last follow up question about GDD via email. I really appreciate the help!
How hoselink holding up
So far really well! More videos coming.
how do you winterize/drain the hose out? Looks really awesome.
It's really great. For winter I'll pull the hose out all the way and angle it downward to drain it out. NO problem. You can also store the reel indoors as well. Pulls right up off the mounting bracket.
Hoselink is a great company. When I contacted them about not having capacity for 100 ft hoses (they are Australian I think and go by a 25meter hose length hence 82') they did respond to me that they let there product development team know about the larger lot sizes here in America. So it is possible we will see a higher capacity reel at some point. I can't wait for that. My hoses are 100 ft 5/8” ID heavy duty rubber hoses so their current offerings don't work for me.
Agreed - great company. I definitely think a longer hose offering is in the works as well. Fingers crossed!
Is the hose diameter around a 1/2" ?...seems on the narrow side for my needs I have to run water out 125 feet
I hate when I have problems with my hose.
They're the worst problems.
Where can I buy one?
There is a link to their website and a discount code in the description
Jimmy, off topic...what type of grass did you seed with in your front yard?? Trying to gather up ideas for fall. Thanks and love the channel!
No worries. Grass in front and back is all exactly the same. 80/20 mix KBG/ryegrass
How much was it ? Do you have a discount code I can use ?
Link to their website and discount code are available in the description 🙌
I almost passed out when I saw the price! Can’t justify buying a $150 hose!
Can you attach an ortho hose end sprayer right out of the box or do you have to buy additional accessories?
You can! No additional accessories required.
No in ground sprinkler system? Hose watering is a complete waste
Those hose ain't loyal 😂
Is that trampoline buried in your backyard?
Yes
@@JimmyLewisMows how’d you do that? Pretty cool!
ruclips.net/video/tYQ8yIa7ACM/видео.html
@@JimmyLewisMows Uh...that’s a job and a half! I think I’ll keep moving the trampoline.
@@JimmyLewisMows plus I’d be digging that hole by hand as not tractor is able to get in my backyard to dig the hole! We have clay here. So it’d turn into a water trampoline.
Those are reel cool but I need at least 100 ft for 99% of my lawn. Wish they had longer versions
There is other name brands that have 100' i got 2 of them. They are truly fantastic
Why do you think I just leave my hose on the ground all of the time??
Because you don't have a Hoselink reel 😉

😎✌️💪
🙂👍👊
Hey Jimmy - I have a tip for you to avoid kinks and it has everything to do with how you coil the hose. At 2:50 you coil up the hose by using the overhand method only. This imparts a twist to the hose that causes kinks when it's pulled out. Instead, use the overhand-underhand method. This method avoids imparting a twist and the hose will pull out with no kinks. Obviously not an issue with the Hoselink, but this method works great for hoses, extension cords, etc. Here is a video from TOH showing the method - ruclips.net/video/OeUgSzH8GHQ/видео.html
Thanks for the tip
First opinion. Not a fan of the bulky-ness of that sticking off the side of the house!
That sucks, it's not long enough. Not worth it.
"No kinks no tangles, super nice." at 5:54 You have just described a new hose. Evaluating a new hose for review is of little use. Unfortunately not worthy of a thumbs up.
Darn.
Yawwwwwnnn....
Nobody likes #hoseproblems
I know I'm tired of them...
