  • In this video, I am giving my comparison review of retractable water hoses by Hoselink and Giraffetools.
    ➡️ The market is flooded with retractable water hoses and the majority of the best options are a bit too pricey to buy and compare. I was given a retractable hose by Hoselink as well as one by Giraffetools and I am offering my honest opinion after spending a year using both products.
    It’s pretty clear from my other videos and the links below which option I prefer, but this video explains the details that led to that decision.
    Join me for a side-by-side comparison of the retractable water hoses by Hoselink and Giraffetools and learn which one I am recommending after a year of working with both.

    I can attest to giraffe brand is complete garbage. I’ve been through 4 units now. Each one had issues with the recoil not working. The retract is insanely fast and can injure you if you let it go. I’m eventually replacing all my units with a hoselink. Will donate the giraffe brand ones.

      i have a 50 foot long flexzilla hose. Love it; but it is HEAVY. So far i have coiled it up and slung it over my shoulder 2 times to be able to use it on the front gardens. One way i'm looking at this is that it is giving me extra work-out. lols. Got the hose last year when my expandable hose sprung a leak; and now the one for the front has done so also. Can't buy this hoselink because once i get the approval to put it on the outside of my condo; which i doubt i would; it becomes a permanent fixture to the condo when i go to sell it. I'll have to see about flexzilla hose reels.

    I have a knock off Hoselink that works great, it’s the one Lowes currently sells. Water pressure isn’t the best due to the hose width. Do you ever use yours when using a sprinkler? Curious how it performs / water it puts out

    • @TheNeighborDominator
      @TheNeighborDominator  2 года назад +2

      The Giraffe Tools was a smaller hose so it didn't work as well. I am going to do a sprinkler soon. I have crap water pressure and hoselink makes one that is incredible!

      I have low water pressure and these hoses have helped with that issue. Maybe because its a 9/16 but I definitely understand what you're saying. I did own both and did not notice a difference.

    Hose link is not that great either…I bought 2 both in black a months apart, 1st one in Nov 2021 and 2nd one in March 2022…First one I’ve had problems since the beginning, it won’t reel the hose in all the way..The sprayer broke shortly after…I had leaks from the same places you mentioned on the Giraffe brand…If you dare leave the quick connects on all the time the cheap plastic breaks…I bought my father one too when I got mine, he’s had the same problem…Maybe all 3 came from the same bad batch…Too bad the price has gone up so much because I still need retractable hoses but I’m not willing to spend over $200 a piece again…Great for you they gave them to you for free but for most it’s ridiculously expensive!!

Nowa days it seems that everything is ridiculously expensive in the world we live in.

    1:26 I think there is some user error involved with the Giraffe Tools bracket failure. You're not supposed to anchor into the mortar.
    3:08 You also shouldn't be allowing the hose to retract without your hands guiding it back. Letting go and allowing it to slam into the reel is what caused the damage.
