    First Aussie 🇦🇺. Jimmy , I have (2) 25 m high flow hoselink reels . One is 6yrs old and the other one 4 yrs old . Still going strong , I have only had to replace the o-rings in the ends of the quick connect ends . Great Australian product. 😎

    I'll tell ya'. What made this thing so attractive in my eyes, was the beginning of the video. Seeing how this could be a portable option. Love the idea of them offering the option to purchase an additional mounting bracket. This way I could have a bracket mounted on the Front of the house AND on the Back of the house. Then just transfer when needed (like the beginning of the video). It alleviates the option of purchasing Two hoses (front yard & back yard). This is definitely the selling point for me ... I'm in! When we start to get to the drought season of summer here; I'm buying in for one of these. Thanks! 👍

    Bought 2 of these last year after seeing your review video when I was doing my research. They still work great and I'm really happy with the purchases. So convenient not having to manually reel them in. I use the hose a lot more because of that too.

    Ive had one for 3 years. Other than the same issue that Jimmy had with the shut off valve, it’s been great. Makes things much easier.

    Good stuff Jimmy. I was all up in your business when you first reviewed it. I was torn between this and the Eley. Originally got the Hoselink but moved it to the garden and took the Eley plunge out front. Both are exceptional. Convenience vs. build quality & 5/8” hose. That’s what it comes down to. If Hoselink would ever release a 5/8 or larger, it might be ballgame.

    I had a hoselink now for about 4 years and works fantastic. It did say to clean hose off before reeling in and I do that religiously. I just purchased a sunneday (Costco)for the back side off my house. We’ll see how that holds up.

    I remember watching the video about you first getting the HOSELINK. I've been in the market for a new hose/reel for a bit, and I think HOSELINK will be my go-to. I only need the 50-foot version though.

    I replaced a 12 yr old Ames with this a few weeks ago & it kinks which my ames never did. Customer service useless & when I asked for a manager they weren't in today! I love the connectors & am tempted to keep it but it may get worse.

      Weird. I’ve never had an issue like that in the now 5 hoses I’ve installed between my property and my family’s properties. Hope you can get it resolved.

    I had a hose reel attached to a wall in front of my house. One night, one bright spark came along, and decided that they wanted the hose stopper, and cut it off. The end result was that I had to unscrew the housing to retrieve the end of the hose. The hose reel was eventually taken down and replaced by a braided steel hose which I remove after each time when I watered the front garden. A hose reel is ideal for the back of the house, but not for the front. Even putting a padlock on as a security measure, didn't stop someone to take something from the hose reel.

    My hoselink quick connects all busted and leak in the first 9 months. They had to go in the garbage. It was store inside during the winter for 6 of those 9 months. So I got maybe 3 months of active use before all plastic components broke. disappointing for the price I paid

    I feel like the plastic quick connects are the biggest let down of the whole thing. I'd rather have brass ones.

    Planning to buy first Hoselink. Do you bring yours inside for winter storage? I plan to buy just one 82' reel (initially) to use with the four hose bibs around my house. If I have no problem moving it around that would save a lot of money and it would be much easier to store one inside the garage than to store four. Zone 6b. Your thoughts?

    • @JimmyLewisMows
      @JimmyLewisMows  Год назад

      Yes I keep them in my shed during the winter. Make sure you drain as much water as you can from the hose before storing it. Much lighter to carry.

    Can you attach any hose to it? Like, if I want it installed somewhere in my yard that isn't in close proximity to my spout, could I run a hose from the spout to my desired location?
