Climbed this stunning granite, friction climbing baby, in 2005. It's called Wellingtons Dome, as the farmer and owner drank Wellingtons brandy. Basic gear, no helmets days. Important shoes that friction as hands for balancing and two 60m ropes needed, if you don't want to walk off the back. Friday night the Secunda/Sasol mountain club took pity on us and gave us food😂; awesome people...After the climb on Saturday night we helped the farmer making Kudu boerewors and had an impromptu Sokkie...as the only Afrikaans,guy...only I took part. Perfect training for Spitzkoppe mountains in Namibia. Amasing footage.
