yeah, they sound better than any other game. i cant believe how fucking stupid and lazy the devs nowadays are. its an absolute shame that a 14 years old game(cant remember exactly) is better than all new games.

I do love how most of these sounds made it into Nfsmw 2005 and nfs carbon.
Hahahah, the monstrous sound of IS-300, Supra, RX-8, RX-7 and Skyline, my favorite one, is the stock sound of RX-8 in NFS Carbon, and the Brera is fitted with a RB26 engine.
As for NFSMW, the RX-8 just didn't change its sounds.

I gotta say. Most racing games other than Asseto Corsa and that new Grid coming out in September, don't have sounds as good as these. Loud bassy, relatively realistic sounds for how old it is, AND Rev limiters? Praying those sexy rev limiters comes back in 2019.🙏

17:59 sounds like that the V6 Hyundai engine are swapped to an 4 piston 4G63 Evo engine
The Evo sound in the game seems it`s not recorded from real Evo. Like in 2 Fast 2 Furious the Evo sound was a mix of S2000/WRX etc. I mean it sounds more like Civic/S2000 rather than Evo. NFS Carbon was the first NFS to have the real sound from Evo. And some VR6/V6 cars are completely wrong for example the Audi A3 (it`s supposed to with 1,8L/2L NA I4) but it`s actually 3,2 Quattro (if you look closely the badge) and it uses VW Golf GTI MK4 sound. And same with the Eclipse it`s supposed to be 2L I4 Turbo but it sounds like V6. Funny though the Pierce`s Eclipse was supposed to be V6 it sounded like Subaru WRX STI.
NFS Underground 2 had a lack of sounds and newer NFS like MW/Carbon had better varieties than NFS U1/U2.

Well most H4 cars have engine sounds from other cars. Pretty much every hatchback has a 2017 Focus engine. 😒

played underground 1 but not 2 and one things that underground 1 lacked was car sounds (all 4 cyl sounded same)(all 6 cal sounded the same) I've never played this game but i want to now because of how good the sounds are

Josh Condor But to be honest its almkst the same for upgraded cars in UG2,plus half of them soundlike absolute shit. Skyline sounds like some weak shitty 4cylinder, same for Tiburon(V6) and Supra(i6)
UG1 made the cars sound powerful even if it wasnt accurate.
I demand stock cars from UG2 they sound good. Upgraded sounds are mostly shit with exception of Civic and RXs

@@iamthedragonboyoh3023 They were literally recorded from a Ferrari 360 Modena, that's what that engine sound is called in the game files. At least we get to choose our exhaust so it doesn't have to sound like shit.

Some honorable mentions, Stock Supra, Stage 1 upgraded Honda Civic, All the VW Golf sounds, and the Maxed out AE86.❤❤❤ BUT MY NUMBER 1, OF COURSE IS THE STOCK SKYLINE😍😍❤❤❤ I don't know why it sounds like a Ferrari flat plane v8 from a 360 CS maxed out tho.
Stock Nissan 240SX shares the same sound with Toyota Corolla AE86. Stock 350Z/G35 shares the same sound with the Toyota Supra/Lexus Is300. Stock Audi TT shares the same sound with Hyundai Tiburon GT V6 (and for some reason, Audi A3 is supposed to be regular but it`s actually 3,2 Quattro if you look the badge closely and it uses Golf sound for some reason). Overall unlike newer NFS like NFS MW/Carbon or PS NFS U2 lacks sounds. And the unused sound files in NFS U2 are pre-existing sounds that are broken. I hate in fact how 98-99% of the cars share same sound files like NFS U1 but that was the technology we can`t blame the developers.
It's funny when some cars have high level exhaust upgrades either make it look like their engines are swapped out (Skyline's L6 to a V6 then Rotary for instance) or in the wrong order (WRX STI's stage 2 exhaust is crisp and better suited as a race level upgrade than what we have currently).

@@iamthedragonboyoh3023 Yeah they do. But in the game, it is using a 350Z sound file as well Lexus Is300. Both Lexus Is300 and Toyota Supra are using 3L I6 (2JZ-GE) and Nissan 350Z and Infiniti G35 using the same 3,5L V6 (VQ35DE).

I hate how the Eclipse has a V6 engine.
And the weird thing is that in Pro Street you have the sound of the 4g63 in low engine upgrades but when you max it all up that V6 comes back

Cool video, but have you heard of this thing called "rev limiter"? You should stop downshifting to slow down

+DaSquirrelMan this guy doesn't really understand how to do that, he literally just drops it into first as quickly as possible, over-revving the engine to where the engine braking isn't really effective. He goes from 3 to 1st in like half a second without actually properly downshifting. He doesn't know what he's doing, and in real life this would shred the teeth off the tranny gears and the engine would throw a rod.
but this is a video game you may can still lockup the tires but destroying the clutch is impossible

Lol, the entire game shares 98% of the cars' same sound. And the unused sounds are other pre-existing sound copies. Like Mazda Prelude sound is the Sentra sound or Porsche Cayenne sound is Lincoln Navigator/Cadilac Escalade sound.

And surprisingly unlike the TT didn`t reuse the Tiburon sound which later in NFS MW 2005 was reused for the A3 and the TT sound was changed similar to the Clio/M3 E46 sound. Funny though how in NFS U2/MW 2005 there were cars that had V6 but sounded like I4 and vise-versa for example. Audi A3 NFS U2, Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX and Cadilac CTS.

I think the most accurate sounds are from Stage 2 parts
stock and stage 1 sounds are the most real ones. Check them out.
The most accurate stock sounds were
Hyundai, Sentra spec V, Supra, Skyline, 350 Z, 240sx, Lancer, WRX STI Impresa, Mustang, Rx7 ,RX 8 and Golf
more upgrades = less accurate engine sounds. I know supra and skyline does not have the same engine sounds but in this game they are the same.
Lvl 2 only real engine sounds were the Lancer, both rx7 and 8, and 350z.
Not mentioning the civic anywhere cause it s a copy-paste from Lancer therefor far from accurate.
I hate the fact that from lvl 2 onwards lot of cars sound the same!

Duca C-04 the ae86 is more accurate on stage 1 and the celica os accurate on stock and I own the celica

Lol, the entire game reuse the 99% of its sounds. For everything similar to NFS U1 which used 5 different computer-generated sound files for stock and the 3 upgrades and it used different pitches.
This is the game when they record real cars sound for the first time. And they don't have much time to record other cars so yeah a reusal

Lexus 1st upgrade sounds like Skyline R34, 2nd as Supra mk4 and 3rd like fuckin inline 4 wtf......
Why they make 6cylinders sound like 4 in 3rd damn upgrade for all 6 cylinder cars except damn 350z&Infiniti. Eclipse with 4cyl sounds more boomy than them at this point. Wtf

Eclipse Does have an inline 4 but EA decided to make it sound like the 6g74...V6's in this game sound amazing in all 3 performance packages (Except for the Tuscani with the 3rd performance package) but the inline 6 and rotaries sound like a 4aGE when maxed out

@@saint_zero To be honest many cars are a bit fudged up with this. Lincoln and Cadillac have stock sound that should be the maximum upgrade one nad they have very muted and lame sounding V8 for max upgrade instead of one that sounds like it has incredibly aggressive cams and just screams its ass off when stock. UG2 just need minor fixing of assigning correct sounds it already has to appropriate tier of upgrade for many cars that have it severly messed up.
