As a non-american part of my enjoyment of this show comes from discovering just how many different chain fast food places there actually are there lol
me too i can’t think of more than 3 burgers that i’ve had from fast food chains americas crazy
I honestly believe that it has a lot to do with how much we drive everywhere all the time
It seems like a lot, but when you consider that it takes 3 days to drive across the country, it makes a lot more sense. A lot of these companies are regional. There are no In-N-Out’s where I live. We also don’t have Jollibee or Del Taco. Some fast food places are bigger, more nationally known chains. Some are a lot smaller and only available in certain regions of the country.
I live in a region of brazil where we don't have many fast food chains either. I eat sandwiches from family cafeteria/restaurants
same! most of these chains (other than McDonalds and Burger King) are not available in my country

As someone who took a field trip to In-N-Out in sixth grade because my teacher's son was the local manager, I can confirm that their ingredients are legitimately freshly sourced. If you don't know, they cut the potatoes right there using a big slicer so they're super fresh, and we got to put the potatoes in and make our own fries. Truly a righteous experience

As an East Coast to West Coast transplant, my first In-N-Out burger was so good it was a revelation but then I heard that west coasters like to brag about how In-N-Out is overrated and "for tourists" which is why I genuinely appreciate LA boy Ryan being HONEST lol!

Although a Big Boy and an In-n-out burger are similar, HOLY GOD, the first time I tried In-N-Out I ate it for 3 days straight. I’m still disappointed there are none over here in the midwest.
I grew up in a place where In-N-Out was everywhere, and although I did enjoy it, I didn't think it was significantly better than some other burgers. It is decent, but so are many others. Also, Joyce is right--the fries suck, especially the cheese fries. They are bland fries with some slices of cheese thrown on top that gets hard in like 30 seconds, so you just end up with a cold, weirdly textured glob. When I tried the cheese fries at Shake Shack, I was surprised by how good the cheese sauce was....but this was about burgers, so I digress. XD

4: Five Guys Grilled Cheese Bacon Burger
3: Jack in the Box Ultimate Bacon Cheeseburger
2: Mcdonald’s Big Mac
1: In-N-Out 3x3 - Animal Style, add chopped chili’s, pickles, and no lettuce(I love lettuce on my burgers, but In-N-Out has the worst lettuce in the game. It always has a ton of water that makes the burger drip everywhere because it’s not shredded and it just makes the burger lose a ton of flavor because they put so damn much too. I don’t need a half pound of watery unshredded iceberg lettuce on my burger haha).
I ask for lite lettuce. Also lite tomato helps with the excess juiciness
If Ryan is ever in Washington he should check out a little chain called Katsu Burger. Its a Japanese-American fusion restaurant that uses Japanese style ingredients to cook American-style burgers. Each of their patties is easily twice as thick as the standard, and breaded in the Katsu style to give them that crunchy breading outside with soft tender meat inside. Their biggest burger is called the Mt. Fuji, it has 1 pork patty, 1 chicken patty, 1 beef patty, an egg, bacon, American cheese, cheddar cheese, pepperjack cheese, tomatoes, pickles, onions, jalapeños (if you want ‘em) and condiments. Unless you can unlatch your jaw like a snake there is a 100% chance that you will not be able to fit the full thing in your mouth, it’ll leave you struggling to fit it all like Piper Perri, but goddamn it will you try to hit that deepthroat because it is so fucking good that you’ll want to have as much if it inside you as quickly as you can.
For those who aren’t consummate size queens, they do make smaller burgers as well. The Tokyo Tower scales down the Mt. Fuji to two patties, and the rest of the menu drops down to the more biteable (bur still very large) one patty burgers. My favorite of the single-patty ones is the Godzilla Attack, which in addition to having the coolest name is also their spiciest.
I’m getting a bit distracted reminiscing, i just moved to another state and they only exist in washington so I’m jonesing for ‘em real hard. All y’all in the area make sure to show them some love, they’re very affordable, you won’t regret it. Not a sponsored comment, just a hungry one.
