Probably already been said but the Morton Salt Girl is in a rainy area and is carrying the salt so it pours because Morton was one of the first to use anti-caking agents that prevented salt from clumping when it rained outside due to the moisture. Their motto is "When it rains it pours" because of this.

When I was a kid I decided to definitely answer the "How many licks does it take to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Pop?" It was 125. My family thought it was such a strange thing for me to do that I got a Mr. Owl t-shirt for Christmas that year. I still have it.
I did the same thing as a kid and got a relatively similar answer (it was 137) so the good news is we've technically done a science.

Mr. Peanut is not dead. He was reborn as Baby Nut in the second commerciap of the campaign. He then grew up and is still around. The aim of the campaign was to bring Mr. Peanut to a more contemporary audience and he can now talk - they wanted him to be less of a capitalism oldie to a more modern vibe.

The owl movie is actually based on a books series, Guardians of Ga’Hoole. Honestly, the books are a bit dark for children to the point that the movie kind of “softened” several things, but it’s still rather intense.

I was really expecting the Vlasic pickle stork to be on shane’s list for some reason
I have 2 stupid things about this topic. 1) I knew the person who was the Land O' Lakes Native American girl on the box. She was Ojibwa and her dad used a picture of her in traditional clothing standing in front of a field. They changed it to her kneeling so that it fit on the box. 2) We used to tell our kids that Chuck E.Cheese was closed or about to close in order to not take them. When we drive by it now, my kids say, "I think that placed shut down because it was never open." Then we laugh like idiots at our little family joke.

the taco bell chihuahua is so iconic, he's become emblematic of his breed. i have a chihuahua and people will see her and say "yo quiero taco bell"

Jack is married to a woman named Cricket. Both Cricket and Jack's mom have normal human heads, and a commercial made reference to the horror that was their labors
A professor at my college is the new voice of Jack (started 2016ish). We were really excited for him because it is such a good continuing contract and because his face isn't shown, he can do other commercials! So, yeah, they hired a new person to mimic the former guy's voice. :)
Wasn’t the former guy an employee at the ad agency who came up with the campaign? I think they liked his voice because he sounded like just a regular guy.

Morton’s salts’ slogan used to be “when it rains, it pours”. Meaning even if it’s pouring rain outside and super humid, their sat wouldn’t clump.

I love watching this show for the inadvertent running pattern of ryan being surrounded by people that make him look like a little guy in the wide framing

I've never had a container of Morton's salt where that chute actually worked the way it's supposed to. The salt always pours out of the sides (at the beginning of the chute) while also pouring down the chute, so it gets everywhere. I learned early on to only pour it over the sink because there's always going to be extra coming out, and it can ruin your food if you try to pour it directly on.
How do they not get that Jack in the Box is a Jack in the Box?? I know they don't have the boxes on top of the buildings anymore, but still.

Someone should make an ad campaign for McDonald’s called “McHeat”. It’s a remake of the classic movie “Heat” that focuses on the tense, tragic yet mutually respectful relationship between the Hamburglar and Ronald McDonald. Probably ends up in a ketchup filled shootout.
Ronald would just be like the bank manager in McHeat, though. Officer Big Mac would be the one going up against Hamburglar.

Guardians of Gahoole was my CHILDHOOD. The movie was a mishmash of the first like 4 books. Not the best adaptation, but seeing them all come to life was great.

I was the Hamburglar for Halloween way back in 2004. I went to my local McD's, and not a single kid behind the counter had any idea who the Hamburglar was. One of them asked if he was like the KrustyBurglar. It was so disappointing.
