@@KingFidely I think they mean they're getting old. Nothing wrong with it, actually growing old is an achievement in itself. But as we get older, our heart, lungs and circulatory system's health become more important than the aesthetic of hypertrophy. Hypertension becomes more worrisome than hypertrophy, so cardio becomes more important. This is happening to me right now and I'm ok with it.

@@user-vi2dz3fk6gI think both are needed at old age, because strong muscles will keep you moving easier and help you maintain your cardiovascular health. I don't mean you need to be super muscular, but I've had family members lose their ability to stay physically active because of weakening muscles and subsequent bad joints, trapping them in a vicious circle. They stopped going out and moving around, and it was fast downhill after that.

It can also be combined, it’s better for both, but not optimal. Look at CrossFit athletes. Many are huge (also when no ped) and that’s also strength and cardio in one session. I think, food, intensity and sleep is the holy triumvirate here

I know alot of people have 1 time of day they can work out so here’s a few tips.
    1) Don’t do cardio before weights. You can do a light 5-10 minute warmup session, but heavy cardio should be at the end of your workout if you do it.
    2) Don’t do heavy cardio every day. The amount of cardio someone should do varies by person, but I generally do moderate-heavy cardio 3-4 times a week.
    3) Don’t use cardio to replace a diet. A lot of people trying to lose weight think that “I can run the calories away”. Unfortunately it doesn’t work that way. Hopping on the treadmill definitely helps, but the war is won in the kitchen.

I eventually started running almost every day with my calistenics workouts regularly plus boxing sessions so the problem is that as a fit guy i lost some few kg's due to caloric deficit. I want to run every day because i get so much energy from that and my day starts fresher but i can't eat that mych i guess to maintain my weight and do so much cardio from just running and boxing...Some advices should i run smaller distances on a daily basis or what.
