Thank you for this review!! Right now my kids are sick and me too and I was thinking on the manual Frida but I’m also pregnant so I was wondering if I will have to breathe in too hard with it. Very complete review! 😊
Thank you so much for your review on this device! I can’t stress how much I appreciated this electric nose Frida. It’s a game changer! As soon as I watched your review, I went and bought the device right away, and my 4 yo daughter loved it! It’s so efficient at sucking out the boogers! Another good thing about it is you can just wash away the boogers and use it again; unlike the manual nose Frida, you would need to buy the filters, which was so expensive and inconvenient. I would recommend this product anytime!
I bought one similar to this and the main issue with it is that it started smelling terribly bad after 3 mos of daily use. I found that mucus was actually being sucked up into the device. Plus, the compartment that holds the boogers and mucus is a pain to clean. So, if you have to use it everyday like I have to for my baby, plan on replacing every 3 mos or so. I'm going to try hooking up the Nose Frida to my breast pump.
So I'm having an issue some liquid keeps coming out and then the buggers come out and the thing isn't even full and it keeps turning off even tho I charged it so what's going on
my one issue with any of the electric ones (I first purchased the safety first brand one, my wife recently purchased this one) is that none of them really hold that many boogers. the original has a large bulb that can hold a decent amount, if there is a lot to suck out.
I agree it doesn’t have a huge catching base for a ton of boogers, but I will just rinse it out and keep going if there are a ton of boogers. Personally I don’t like the bulb ones because they get moldy and gross since there isn’t a great way to clean those. I’ve seen too many videos of people who’ve cut them open and it’s nasty inside
@@MamaBearReviewsthe pediatric place I worked at our pharmaceutical reps always brought us the clear bulb suctions that come apart and you can clean. Just got this electric after years of having the original. Thanks so much for the review!
@@henryscharf6941idk how you’re liking the original Frida or electric…I just purchased the electric after years of having the original. But I’d you’re still looking for the bulb suction syringe to clean they do have them. The pediatric place I worked at our pharmaceutical reps would bring the clear ones and they come in two pierces easy for cleaning.
I wish I would’ve had this electric one when my kids were newborns! So much easier than the original snot sucker where you had to literally suck it out using mouth power. This is way easier! Hope you love it!
I purchase both. I prefer the electric better. Me trying to suck in that tube was wearing me out. My younger children couldn’t even. It’s worser than blowing a ballon
I have only used this one, it is powerful on a full charge, I do wish it was a big more powerful for those stubborn boogers but it’s handy and good for those loose ones
So I just bought this yesterday. The snot gets into the piece that does not remove from the entire thing how do I prevent that. Or how am I suppose to clean the snot out? I’ve just been cleaning it with Clorox wipes but i have to do it over and over? Does everyone’s do that? Or is it just mine? 😩
It doesn’t “sound” powerful but it definitely will suck it out. If it doesn’t try putting it on high and make sure you’re using the right nasal piece. If all that doesn’t work I’d contact customer service at fridababy
Anyone else’s have brown fluid leaking out of the vent??? I can’t find anything about it… idk if it’s battery related or it’s just because mucus got stuck underneath the parts that you can clean…
The website says to dip the tip in water and let it flush out when you turn it on under water. Check their faq for the right instructions Same thing happened to me
Doesn’t work. Bought one and it suctions without attachments. Then, you put attachments on and it doesn’t suction at all. Bought a second brand new one and still no suction with attachments on.
I purchased and must I say I hate it it has no suction honestly my son get those yellow hard congestion and as much saline and bathroom time I give him this was a waste of my money smh
What about the mucus that comes out the back of it the little while y isn’t anyone talking bout that this item sucks boogers but does not keep it in it comes out of alittle while in the back an gets in to the whole wher the battery is
Personally I will take the nose part and then the blue base and pull it separate from the machine, then I will just wash the blue base that has all the snot with water and soap and i will wash the top part with water and soap and then run scalding water thru the nose part and I will take a q-tip and clean out the inside part from underneath (hopefully that makes sense)
@@MamaBearReviews is it just me or do the boogers get stuck in the part that doesn’t come off ? How do you get them out. Trying not to break it. It seems like the boogers come out of the little hole on the back
It is a bit expensive, and it does not have much power. It is faster with the suction device that I use with my mouth. It removes mucus faster and it removes a lot of it. but this is not the truth that . I prefer to return the product.
I was told by a Frida rep via email that you can clean these by sucking warm water through them when the brown stuff starts shooting out the back. Have you tried this?
Same. Sucked mucus down into the machine casing and now it sounds terrible as it’s constantly gurgling snot way down inside. I tried taking it apart but that still doesn’t let you get down to the inside vacuum hose… let us know if there’s a fix…
I used mine straight of the box for a few times before charging it, and then I didn’t have to charge it very long. I would contact customer service or even Fridababy and see if you can get a replacement
Mine does not work very well too... i have the same problem. I leave it charging for so Long and start using it a couple of times and doesnt seem to work weell...
@@lashikalockett3198 the power is not super super strong but it’s enough to get boogers out I’d say. If you put it up to your finger it’s not like a vacuum suction, way lighter than that. It sounds super low suction when you’re just listening to it it’s like a low hum sound but it does work once it’s in the nasal way to suck boogers out. Hope that helps!
I ordered a replacement as well. The first one seems to have been defective. The one I have now, works. The replacement was already a little charged. It's good so far and gets the job done.

Gotta try this now. My 1 yr old screams bloody murder now with the original nosefrida
Mine was the same way! This one is much less screaming and fighting especially if I let her do it herself first

Thanks for the comments. I’ll stick to the original one! Can’t waste money on something with the same mentioned error !

Yes! The OG one gets exhausting! This is why I love the electric

Mines is blinking a white light when I put it on the charger 🔌 so I’m not sure on when it’s fully charged 🤔
It will stop blinking when its done.
What does it mean when it does a long holding beep when turned on and no suction
Hmm I haven’t had that happen, maybe try and make sure everything is in correctly or try charging it and see if that helps
This happened to mine too. Were you ever able to figure out what was wrong?
