Greetings Dan: Just came a cross your video as I was looking for a way to create a shopping lists, one for my mother and myself. I created one following your video for my mother. I guess I need to create one for "my Groceries" and "Mom's Groceries", shopping at the same location. Set up shortcut for mo's and my grocieries on home screen? Thoughts. Thanks

Is there a way that the grocery reminder will automatically open on Apple Watch too?

Not that I know of. ☹️ I added the Groceries shortcut to the Apple Watch, but when I ran it, it said it was unsupported. Maybe next year. 😊

@@DansTutorials I use Google Keep on my iPhone for my grocery list. The list is a checklist-each item has a check box. The list on the phone gets automatically synced to my Apple Watch. At the grocery store, I open the same list on my Apple Watch. When I put a grocery item into my cart, I tap on that item on my watch and that item gets crossed off. I love using my watch so I don't have to hold my phone. A nice thing about Google Keep on my phone is that I can enter items onto my list in any order, then--if I have any energy--I can reorder items according to where they are found at the store (all the meat items together, all the veggies together, etc.). Google Keep "archives" all grocery items I have entered so that when it is time to add items to my list, it brings up a proposed list that I can select from...example: I type"ro" and Keep proposes "Rosemary" and "Rolls" and "Roast chicken" - I tap the desired item or enter a new one as needed. I previously tried a grocery list app on my phone, but didn't like it because 1) I had to hold onto my phone as I shopped (or put it away and then pull it back out when needed) and 2) the phone screen would lock, requiring me to unlock.

Great video thanks. But if you have a grocery list and you as you shop you press the button to show I have bought the item. Can you tell me how I can keep the list without it deleting the items once I press on it. I don’t want to have to write a new list each week. Hope you can understand what I mean?

The items don't get deleted, just hidden. While in your list, click on the three dots on the upper right and choose "Show Completed." Items that are checked will be greyed out but visible. You can uncheck them or leave them checked. I leave items checked if I do not need them this shopping trip and I'll uncheck them when I need them again. "Show Completed" seems to stay on as a setting when you leave the app and go back in.
